Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Allah has forgiven my followers the evil thoughts that occur to their minds, as long as such thoughts are not put into action or uttered." And Qatada said, "If someone divorces his wife just in his mind, such an unuttered divorce has no effect. [Bukhari, Book 63, Number 194]

Volume 8, Book 75, Number 317o:
Narrated Anas:
that the Prophet said, "For every prophet there is an invocation that surely will be responded by Allah," (or said), "For every prophet there was an invocation with which he appealed to Allah, and his invocation was accepted (in his lifetime), but I kept my (this special) invocation to intercede for my followers on the Day of Resurrection."

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “It is enough sin for a person, that he ignores those whom he is responsible for.” [Abu Daud]
Is it sufficient for a man to provide for his own food, clothing, relaxation, intellectual needs and spiritual needs? Can he neglect the same needs of his wife or children? No! A man will be held accountable for taking care of his dependents. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) has declared the leader of the Muslims as responsible for each and every one of them, a husband/father as responsible for his family, and a woman as responsible for her children. [Bukhari]

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The first of those who shall enter Paradise are the people who do acts of kindnesses." [Tibrani]
This story comes to us through the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) that there was once a prostitute in the tribe of the Bani Israil. She passed by a dog going around a well about to die of thirst. So she took off her shoe and, tying it to her head wrap, lowered it into the well to get some water for the dog. Because of this one act of kindness, Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) forgave her her sins.
This shows us not only Allah’s love for humans and how He loves to forgive us, but also His love for all His creatures. Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) told us that we are rewarded for every act of kindness we do to any creature. Every time a bird eats from your fruit tree you are rewarded by Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) for that too.
In today's society though, it seems that kindness is reserved for animals while one's relatives and fellow Muslims are not considered worthy of it. Don't neglect them.
Instead of asking somebody to bring a glass of water for you, bring it for them. This is a kindness. To pay attention to a child's story is a kindness. To give the elderly your time is a kindness. To share a particular skill you have is a kindness. To wash someone else's dishes is a kindness. To make room for somebody is a kindness. There are hundreds of kindnesses to do. Make it your goal for this week to seek out acts of kindness throughout the day, and do them! Every little deed will count on the Day of Judgement.

Sahih Bukhari,
Volume:1 Book :2 Number :49,
Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir:I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.

Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “None of you is truly a believer until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.” [Muslim]
If you get two similar things, one for yourself and one to give as a gift, which one do you keep? You have passed the test of eeman (faith) if you give the better one away. If you give the inferior one away then you need to cultivate your eeman. Strangely, if you behave as though you had eeman, i.e. give the better one away for the pleasure of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala), even though you don’t feel like it, then eeman will automatically develop in you. Eeman and behaviour are mutually reinforcing.

Once Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) had two miswaks (natural toothbrush). One was crooked and the other was straight. Since Allah’s Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) was of the finest character, he truly wanted everyone else to have the best. So he gave the straight miswak to his fellow Sahabah and kept the crooked one for himself.
Is this what you practice in your transactions or do you wish that no one had a car, house, children, education, job or clothes better than yours? Does the good fortune of others make you happy or unhappy? The sign of a true Muslim is that they are happy at the good fortune of others and sad at the misfortune of others.*

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Mention Allah's Name (i.e., say 'Bismillah' before starting to eat), eat with your right hand, and eat from what is near you.” [Bukhari]
For every act that a Muslim does, there is a chance for him to earn some reward for it from Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). These rewards and blessings can be attained only by those keen to follow the guidance and example of Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), thereby seeking nothing but the pleasure of their Creator. The entire life of such a person can become an act of worship. Even eating and drinking upon which all living things depend, can become acts of worship. Thus, by acquainting ourselves with the Sunnah of eating and drinking, we can turn this mundane exercise into a source of hasanaat (reward) for the Akhirah and blessing for this world.
There are three things we are told in this hadith:
1. We should start eating or drinking by saying 'Bismillah'. Once a bedouin came and ate the food available in two mouthfuls. Allah’s Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said that had he said 'Bismillah' before eating, the food would have been sufficient for six people. Taking the name of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) before starting to eat puts blessing in the food.
2. We should use our right hand for eating and drinking. The left hand is used to clean ourselves with in the bathroom.
3. We should eat from our side of the dish, without stretching our hand to the side where someone else is eating from. This is the case when more than one person is eating the same kind of food from a single dish. But in case a variety of foods or fruits are lying before us on the table, we are free to take our pick.

Jabir (radi Allahu anhu) reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) saying, "If a person mentions the Name of Allah upon entering his house or eating, Shaytaan says addressing his followers: 'You will find nowhere to spend the night and no dinner.' But if he enters without mentioning the Name of Allah, Shaytaan says (to his followers); 'You have found (a place) to spend the night in.' And if the person does not mention the Name of Allah at the time of eating, Shaytaan says: 'You have found (a place) to spend the night in as well as food.'" [Muslim]
What might happen if an evil person entered your house? He might steal, plant false evidence, anger relatives against each other, cause fights, hurt people, make people abuse their time on sinful activities... Shaytaan is the most evil entity. If you allow him and his followers to enter your house with you, don't be surprised if the harmony of family life goes missing. To prevent this from happening, the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) told us to recite the following dua when entering our house:
“Allahumma inni as'aluka khairal-mawliji wa khairal-makhraji. Bismillahi wa lajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa `ala rabbina tawakkalna.” (O Allah! I ask you for what is good of entrance and what is good for exit. With the Name of Allah do we enter, and with the Name of Allah do we leave, and upon our Lord Allah have we put our trust).
If one doesn't know or remember the dua, one should at least say 'Bismillah'. By taking Allah's name we seek His protection. We should say 'Bismillah' when starting any activity.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (ra):[Sahih Al Bukhari]
The Prophet (saw) passed by a man who was admonishing his brother regarding Haya and was saying, "You are very shy, and I am afraid that might harm you." On that, Allah's Apostle said, "Leave him, for Haya is (a part) of Faith."
The Beloved Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, so beautifully advised his nation when he said:
“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day let him speak good or remain silent.” [Bukhari and Muslim]
