The Prophet PBUH said: "Among the trees is a tree which remains evergreen, and it symbolizes (is like) a Muslim, so, tell me, which tree is that?" Ibn Umar RA says, the Companions thought of the trees of the forests, Abdullah Bin Umar RA says, in my heart I thought it would be the Date palm, but I felt shy saying it, until at last the Companions said:, "O Messenger of Allah! Please inform us". The Prophet PBUH said:, "It is the Date palm".

(List of Narrators), Hazrat Anas Bin Malik reports, I have never offered a prayer after any Imam so light (short) and perfect as after The Prophet PBUH (as Imam) and undoubtedly, The Prophet PBUH after hearing a child's cry from the fear that its mother will be anxious would shorten the prayer.

(List of Narrators), Hazrat Ali RA states: "When I reports a Hadith of the Prophet PBUH to you, undoubtedly, it is far more likable for me to fall from the heaven than to ascribe lies on the Prophet PBUH, and when I describe to you the things between us then verily rivalry (infighting) is but a lie.

I have heard from the Prophet PBUH, "In the End of Times will be a people young and foolhardy, who will speak the best of words among all mankind, and Islam will depart from them as the arrow from the bow. Faith shall not pass even beyond their throats. When you meet these people, kill them, high shall be the reward of those who kill them on Judgment Day."

Jummah today, thought i'd post this hadith.. : )

It is narrated by Abu Huraira and Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:
It was Friday from which Allah diverted those who were before us. For the Jews (the day set aside for prayer) was Sabt (Saturday), and for the Christians it was Sunday. And Allah turned towards us and guided us to Friday (as the day of prayer) for us. In fact, He (Allah) made Friday, Saturday and Sunday (as days of prayer). In this order would they (Jews and Christians) come after us on the Day of Resurrection. We are the last of (the Ummahs) among the people in this world and the first among the created to be judged on the Day of Resurrection. In one narration it is: ', to be judged among them".
Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Number 1862

                            Narrated Sad bin Abi Waqqas:

Umar bin Al-Khattab asked the permission of Allah's Apostle to see him while some Quraishi women were sitting with him, talking to him and asking him for more expenses, raising their voices above the voice of Allah's Apostle.

When 'Umar asked for the permission to enter, the women quickly put on their veils. Allah's Apostle allowed him to enter and 'Umar came in while Allah's Apostle was smiling, 'Umar said "O Allah's Apostle! May Allah always keep you smiling." The Prophet said, "These women who have been here, roused my wonder, for as soon as they heard your voice, they quickly put on their veils." 'Umar said, "O Allah's Apostle! You have more right to be feared by them than I." Then 'Umar addressed the women saying, "O enemies of yourselves! You fear me more than you do Allah's Apostle ?" They said, "Yes, for you are harsher and sterner than Allah's Apostle." Then Allah's Apostle said, "O Ibn Al-Khattab! By Him in Whose Hands my life is! Never does Satan find you going on a way, but he takes another way other than yours." [Bukhari]

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever does not argue when he is in the wrong will have a home built for him on the edge of Paradise. Whoever avoids it when he in the right will have a home built for him in the middle of Paradise. And whoever improves his own character, a home will be built for him in the highest part of Paradise.” [Tirmidhi]

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said: “He who stirs enmity among people, by quoting their words to each other, will not enter Paradise.” [Bukhari]

Unfortunately, this is a common social evil these days. Rather than mend relations among people, Shaytaan has us excited about carrying tales to each other. “You won’t believe what he did!...Can you imagine what she said?...”

Refuse to listen to what other people have said or done. It is backbiting, just to hear it. If what you are being told about is not true, it is an even bigger sin, both for the person telling it and the person listening to it. If you tell yourself not to believe everything you hear, your heart will nevertheless be tainted by it. That is why the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) told his companions not to say things about each other to him, since he didn't want to meet them with disquiet in his heart. If Rasul Allah's feelings for people had the possibility of getting soured by hearing tales about them, despite his being rehmat-ul-lil-alameen, then we are certainly not above being corrupted by listening to tales.

The people who carry tales from one person to another, do it in the guise of well wishers. First they sympathize with one party. Then they take what they have gleaned to other people and sow discord, ruining relations between people, by repeating things. A person who behaves in such a manner is being two faced. Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said: “You find that among the worst people is someone who is two-faced, showing one face to some and another face to others.” [Bukhari]
