Request to Qrratugai regarding the practice of homosexuality among Persian Sufis

As salaamu aleikoum,

in another thread I argued that the reason why homosexuality, sodomy and child abuse is so widespread in Afghanistan and other parts of ancient Persia or Khurassan is because Sufi "saints" practised homosexuality and glorified it in their poetry.

I then requested a student of Islamic studies (Qrratugai) to do an inquiry on this subject since she has access to a library on Islamic Studies at her University.

So far I have not received any replies from her on that matter.

It could be that she is very busy doing her regular duties and studying for her courses.

But just to keep this subject seperated from previous discussions I made this thread so in case she does find any literature regarding this matter, she can post them here.

I hadn't seen this thread. So my apologies for a late reply.

And, yes, I am currently taking my finals, so, like I've said in many other threads, the last thing I wanna do is read a book I don't really NEED to read for my own papers and finals. The only posts I'm currently willing to reply to are those that don't take too much of my time and/or don't require access to references because I don't wanna do that.

And, just so you know in advance, I'll be out of town for the next 20 days and most probably will not be on PF as much as I'd like. So expect even more late replies. But rest assured - we will discuss the supposed homosexuality of Muslim saints for sure, however, so don't you worry none.

Although I just said in another thread that I am going to have to pass having ANY discussions with you because of your thought that what you're learning is more "accurate" and your methods are more "accurate" as well (which shows your lack intelligence, at least the way I define intelligence), I'm compelled to ask ...

So what that some Muslim saints have been/are/were homosexuals? Is that supposed to mean that saints = homosexuals and therefore are not ("real") Muslims? Or that sainthood is haraam *because* of these people's homosexuality?

But then again - you think that the REASON homosexuality and child abuse and other such "un-Islamic" practices are prevalent in Muslim societies, particularly Afghanistan, is because of saints.

You must be kidding me, man! You think they didn't exist before Islam or before sainthood was appreciated? You don't think they exist in other societies?
