Why would you accept information from the Taliban web site as fact? When have they ever provided evidence for the outlandish claims they make on a daily basis? While such propaganda is nothing new to us and the readers because such statements are frequently seen on extremist websites and, later posted elsewhere. Resorting to exaggeration is a sign of desperation. By providing false information one is not only wasting our reader’s time, but is also disrespecting the readers by the use of misleading and deceptive information. Our forces together with Afghan forces on daily basis are engaging Taliban and al-Qaeda leaders throughout the country. Insurgents are facing the overpowering strength of Afghan and international forces, and so, as we witness here, they are trying to energize their already demoralized sympathizers by spreading such baseless propagandas. Your post on Pashtun community forum that says more than 60 NATO and Afghan soldier’s death and wounded, these claims are baseless, no such casualties have occurred, and these reports are never corroborated by independent new agencies. We have a transparency policy when it comes to reporting causalities. Does al Qaeda and the Taliban? As usual Taliban mouth pieces never provide any proof to support their statements.
