^ Your concern is highly appreciated, but it will be totally right if my grand dad will be involved in any such kind of activities like hanging people, shotting them down just because the other's were not of the opinion he was. What talibans did was the vary same and they did it to the innocent people and now if this is done to the 'culpurits' than its all right !! Ofcourse I'll not praise it at that time as my grand dad is my grand dad but everyone round there will !! And they will be having a right to

I already said there is no age issue coming into this. I've seen videos with my own eyes where young kids of my age were kicking masharan, harassing them and assulting them and treating them like dogs and those kids were from TTP. So kindly don't bring this age factor here .. Manana !!

Shehbaz you are missing the point. Either something is legal or it isn't. If you ignore legality like this, then you have no real substantial ground for your state anymore.

So everyone there did this to shamaal? By your nonsense "lack of logic" people have complaints against the militias of the north. I am sure you wouldn't want that retribution.

Dunno, has he been asked that question? Or let's say, did those machos rest their arms for a while enough to give time to answer?

Nonetheless, it's very brutal and if they can't put a stop on that (which has been proved they can't) then the least they should do is film it.

Pakistanis actually find these kind of things very professional and macho, just read up their comments; 'Don't mess with Pakistan or you will get this treatment.' Or, 'this is what should happen to all our enemies', and these are just two examples. Get to know your own people mate, get to know your own people.

What if he was innocent, yet gets this treatment, it's posted online, and people even praise it? How are you gonna defend your grandfather and make people understand the difference between right and wrong? How?

If you truly detest the culprits so much then why don't you encourage your army to do the same to every single politician of yours? I am no Pakistan will distaste that!

But are you ready to accept that if he had connections with TTP than this was what he deserved?
well shahbaz khana wrora the point is that the treatment of the taliban was no diffirent than the this army of islam(paki army), there are many similarities in their behaviour. the taliban were more honest , they admitted and took pride what they did. but the army will blame everything on indian. no one deserve this kind of treatment.

                    Shehbaz Khan,

Are you denying the authenticity of this video? If yes, on what grounds?
Are you claiming that this old man 'deserved' this treatment?

I wish to further discuss this with you.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I don't see why it can't be faked. Someprevious videos have been. But I've not seen the video so I dont know. These tapes do not benefit Pakistan or the Pakistani Army. They do benefit India though, and those who want to portray Pakistan in a bad light. This is very logical.

I think the main reason for these videos is to raise awareness. Awareness that Pashtuns are being treated bad. I for one, don't need to see videos. I have seen how Pashtuns are treated in Karachi, so I am very well aware of our status in Pakistan. We are the 'garbage-pickers' of it's financial capital. My heart used to cry when I used to see 11-15 year old sometimes even younger Pashtun boys picking up plastic bags or laying and playing in garbage. I have seen Pashtun discrimination with my own eyes. Pashtuns are not viewed as equal, all one has to do is ask a rickshaw driver in Karachi city how he is treated. And no, he is not from Afghanistan. He is a Pashtun from Pashtunkhwa who has left his village to gain some sort of income in Karachi.

there are no garbage picking pakhtun kids in Kabul?

North of Kabul, on the top of barren hills, is located the garbage dump of all waste of the capital. The complete waste, after passes the selection of garbage pickers from all around the capital, ends its fate here. Garbage pickers, people who try to find treasures from dumps of waste, are those people in dirty clothes, with a sack on their backs, and dwindle around Kabul streets or garbage dumps to find something useable. Most of the garbage pickers in Kabul are children.

We are speaking about Pakistan. We can discuss the flaws within Kabul in a thread pertained to Afghanistan.

Like I said, we are speaking about Pakistan, and I as a Pashtun, have a genuine concern about my people, my concern is that in the financial capital of Pakistan, we are not treated properly. Bringing Kabul into a thread about Pakistan is a logical fallacy. If I argue that Pakistan is corrupt, either you defend it, or respect my opinion. Telling me Afghanistan is also corrupt is a cheap way of conferring and doesn't contribute to the topic on hand. Refrain from derailing threads, please.

I didn't see the video. I'm just saying it could well be faked. Faked videos have been made before. Even Pakistan have made some I believe. But I was questioning why Pakistan Army would be producing or allowing videos that show them to be beating up frail old men. That sounds a bit silly of them, which is why there's reason that it's faked.

I don't disagree with this. I don't know how bad the situation is entirely in Pakistan for Pashtuns. Perhaps it's just Karachi though. But there are 11-15 year old Pashtun boys working in gun factories in NWFP. I'm sure Punjabi boys also do some garbage work. That's not to say there isn't discrimination in Pakistan against Pashtuns. There probably is. It would be nice to see it quantified. Whether Karachi is an isolated case, or whether it is common in Pakistani cities. Anyway, I'm against this trickle down nonsense the pakistani government does where the Punjab gets most development money. Each province should have exactly equal educational facilities and exactly equal access to education. Is there evidence to show this is not the case, and Punjab has all the best universities and access to education?

There is something more emotive about seeing a Punjabi treating a Pashtun boy not very well i suppose, just as there would be if a Pashtun were treating a Punjabi boy not very well. But there's plenty of stupid Punjabis (and Pashtuns) so it's not something where one should generalize in my opinion. The Punjabis do not all think the same (quite a few I've seen have been a bit stupid though I must confess, but not all).

Anyway Karachi is in Sindh, and is Muhajir (Indian ancestrally).
