A Pashtun can be a Pakistani?

^^this was from a protest (actually two, one in london and the other in Toronto)....they basically were protesting against ISI and army. Ironically this protest was held by nationaliyaan (who Shehbaz says are the main cause of all the bloodshed).

thats my point.... 2 bad it took pashtuns a few decades and a few bombs on their heads to realise what Pakistan truly is.... hopefully they will all wake up now and rid themselves of this curse
oh and on a side note... hope ur cup of tea was good I had a patient who smacked one of the nurses... he had been taking GHB (an illicit substance which gives a high and is used as a date rape drug) and is having withdrawels which is making him see visual hallucinations... had to give him IM Lorazepam... bless

BLS: Wrora I didn't know the context of the image it appealed me and I am here with it proudly. Plus I've nothing personal against Nationalyan to which extent Army and ISI are responsible that's a different topic but I will condemn each and every bad thing done by nationalyan!! One thing which always makes me wonder.

Majority of those who care for Loy Afghanistan etc, they dont even live in Pakistan.

The local people here (wether Afghan or pakistani Pashtuns) , nobody cares for such

things, All they care for is feeding their families .Thats why people join Police ,army etc.

Yes Shadow caster it is because majority of society in any part of the world doesn't indulge in active politics or social welfare...it is normally a small group of people who are into the real workings of politics and economics...they discuss, build policy, etc. This isn't something that is out of the ordinary, rather very common (by active participation I don't mean voting once every 4 or so years).

Few member thinks that working as governament servant of pakistan will disqualify you as pashtun.

Loyalty to afghanistan (+love for india) and hate for pakistan make you a high quality ghairatmand and drun pashtun.

Excuse me but a very idotic and full of logical fallacy post! Just a few words for our young ppl...An identity, in collective terms, is the collection of stuff other people see from or in you…It's your language, your culture, your collective history, your race, and etc. Last I check there is no such as a thing that can form the base of paksitani identity, even holy islam is not restricted to Pakistani as Judism is to Isreal that can form the base of Paksitani identity. The word Paksitani is a legal term and that’s basically it…it refer to British created country off Indian and Afghanitan.

For so long as a Tajik or Hazara (or others) can be labelled an “Afghan” under the principle of national boundaries’ and nationality, then under this very same principle a Pashtun from Pakistan can be a labelled Pakistani or Industani.


The minute a Pashtun from Pakistanis seizes to be a Pakistani (and becomes an Afghan) on the basis of his ethnicity, then this will be the minute that a Tajik seizes to be an Afghan, on the basis of his ethnicity.

I have nothing against any Pashtun wanting to unite with their brothers. But I have everything against and will fight to the last breath against Afghan Mellatis wanting to imprison and oppress my people/land/culture/language/history in a 'Loy-Afghanistan.'

You mentioned that language, culture, collective history, race, etc are a prerequisite determinant for an identity, and so therefore Pakistan fails this test of yours. Based on your logic, do you also confirm that Afghan and Afghanistan (from a national perspective) also fails big time with this criterion of yours?

- The citizens of Afghanistan, do not share the same language: They speak Farsi, Pashto, Uzbeki, Pashayee, et al.

- They do not follow a uniform culture: They follow Farsi-Zuban/Khurasani culture, Turkic Culture and Pashtunwali culture et al.

- They do not share the same collective history: more than half the people link their history to that of Greater-Iran, others see their history through Genghis Khan, others see theirs linked interchangeably to the Turkistan region of Central Asia, others see theirs to the Pashtunistan/Indus River region of Western India.

- They do not consist of one race and see their race as Tajik, Pashtun, Uzbik, Hazara, Turkmen, Pashayee, Aimaq, Ismaili, Arab, Nuristani, et al.

Do you disagree with my premise that based on your criteria; Afghanistan fails you ‘identity test’ just as handsomely as Pakistan?

Furthermore, would you not concede that Pakistan is at least a racially neutral name, and hence more inclusive of its inhabitants than Afghanistan, since ‘Awghan’ is a racially exclusive term relating to Pashtuns.

Do you also deny that Afghanistan, with its current borders, came into being as a modern state by the recognition of British and Czarist Russia? Just like Pakistan!?
