Loopy does not have the character of a pashtun,, he can call himself a pashtun, but he does not act like one. He has said he is not afghan but a pashtun and now he says pashtuns are ethnic afghans. These are people that like to identify with people that have a rich and proud history because they lack a rich history of their own. Like I told you before loopy, the character of a true pashtun is that he is direct and makes his intentions known, you have not shown that.

      pa ar surat, anyways
Parsiban is correct in certain aspects of his/her post. The people that are going to build afghanistan are the afghans living in afghanistan not he western afghans. The western afghans will lack the passion to rebuilt because they know their life is not dependent on a strong afghanistan, they can instantly always go to the west anytime for that comfortable life. The afghans living in afghanistan will have the passion to rebuilt it in a way that will improve their lives because they are going to be their and their children are going to be living their. The western afghans will only serve western interests not afghan interests. Just like the pakis, most paki leaders have western connection, they come and loot the country and serve western interests and when their done looting the go back to the safety of their western homes.

Where i said that pashtuns are not afghans? Quote my that post.
I said that i accept that pashtun=afghan but i prefer to be indentified as pashtun. title of afghan is secondary to me.

I am pashtun first then afghan, khan, pathan etc

          Loopy,
I dont want to argue about these things but to me you are not a pashtun when you act in a way that is against pushtun interests. Your best interests are served when you see pashtun disunity. In the above post you say pashtun=afghan if it equals then why is it secondary. equal and secondary have different meanings. you want to change the meaning of afghan, your purpose is to devide and in that division, you prosper. Just because you speak pashto, and you grew up in pashtun land does not mean you have the character of one. this post is about afghans returning. true pashtuns would be unhappy to see their brothers leave, but a nonpashtun cant wait to see them leave.

Your "mashrun" were happy to fill their tummys and pockets with cash by stealing what was intended for afghan refugees by the US and UN. Your "mushrun" have no sharam stealing from the poor. these are the baighyrata people that you defend.

            ^what the hell is mushrun?

It doesnt matter that you dont consider me pashtun, you are free to call me punjabi or paki or dhalkhor. Believe me i am much better version of pakistani pashtun for you people, you have not met pakistan.defence.forum-type of pashtuns who constitute magority of pashtuns in pakistan.

calm down you dont have to get mad, I dont do name calling daHLKHOR IS DERAGATORY. Im open to any ideas you may have to put forward, maybe im wrong, educate me, but so far what I have said is true.

Those pashtuns have been brainwashed. I dont think those are majority of pashtuns in pashtunkwa. I have met many that dont think like that. Most of the ones that do think the way you do, you have been brainwashed by the educational system that exists in pakistan and eventually that system will reach a point where it will not support the current pakistani state and will disentegrate.

Mushrun or mushron "elders" or "leaders" "decision makers"

                It is masharan not mushrun.

I was mutala-pakistan's brainwashed b when i was teenager but not anymore.
You dont live in pakistan therefor you are not aware of the mindset of pakistani pashtuns....magority of them are patriotic pakistanis.

If afghanistanism is criterea to have pashtun character then sorry i am not good pashtun.

Back on topic, there was once a very interesting Urdu article which I had read in Karachi back in 2004. It was pretty much saying that don't criticize Afghans, many of these refugees have positively changed the economy as well. For instance, Karachi airport is full of rich Afghan expatriates who bring foreign currency into Karachi. The Afghan diaspora is huge. Think about it for a second, take a deep breath and think about the Afghan diaspora in the west. Nearly every Afghan I know here in the west travels to Karachi, anyone who has taken a basic economics course would know Pakistan[Sindh] has benefited from Afghan refugees. The majority who reside in Karachi, do not work. In fact, they employ Pashtuns from Pashtunkhwa. We have businesses in which we have employed Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa. Many of the Pashtuns of Karachi are actually from Afghanistan, I would say an overwhelming majority are actually Afghan, some actually have NICs and pretty much claim they are Pakistani for the sake of their security, with that being said, it's nearly impossible for Pakistan to really offer a proper census. For example, If Pak authorities ask a Kandahari in Karachi where he is from, all he has to say is, "the border area, near Quetta". Now its nearly impossible to prove him wrong. He speaks the same dialect, looks the same and belongs to the same ethnic group.

I am pretty concerned about the attitudes of Pashtuns of Pakistan towards Afghans, little do they realize, how much they have actually benefitted from this. UN supports them, and Afghans themselves have the economy rolling. For example, many of the "Nanwayey or nan wala" are ran by Pashtuns of Ghazni and Helmand in Karachi. Any Pashtun of Afghanistan should respect and value the fact that our brothers across this torturous line has embraced us but at the same time, It's indecent to constantly raise that card against them. I find it mind-boggling. It's like a son telling his father about the recent 'favors' he did for him and constantly rubbing it in his face. We are the same people, same ethnic group, rest assured that if such a horrible fate comes on my brothers of Pashtunkhwa, my doors are open for them. In fact, do any of you have any clue how many Pashtuns of Pakistan are employed in Afghanistan and how many Punjabis work in Afghanistan? Visit Afghanistan and check who is in those reconstruction companies. Afghanistan doesn't have that many engineers so its all Punjabis and Sindhis of Pakistan who are making big bucks in Afghanistan.

Back to that article, the author wrote, "Afghans bring us GOLD, we should respect them". If you disagree, pay disco bakery in Karachi a visit and ask those jewelers who 'ball out'[spend the most] the most when it comes to weddings, the poor Karachiites or the rich Afghan expats? Ask those wedding halls, who has the most weddings in the summer season? In fact, Afghans pretty much make all the hotels in Karachi booked. There are Afghans who book these hotels in January for the summer. These things go unnoticed but the moral behind this post is, we are one people, let's not raise silly cards against us, its nothing but poison for our unity. Afghan expats, who have family in Pakistan have done nothing but benefited Pakistan. Before you raise the employment card, like I said, they have family in Pakistan who don't need to work. A typical Afghan family in Karachi, lives a life while their son sends them money from a foreign country. That is it and that is all.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Afghans are very hardworking and ghairati people. when they came to pakistan during russian invasion, they did not sit for funds/chanda, they started working to earn and opened small businesses here.
