Kindly, we don't want to benefit from any one. If a civil war happened in Afghanistan again, go to Tajakistan, Uzbakistan, Iran, etc., which are much closer to you (at a stone-throw distance from Mazar-i-Sharif, Taluqan etc.). When our people from Swat were displaced, etc. no one came to you (except some Turis who might have migrated to Afghanistan due to Shia connections).Last edited by Toramana; 10-28-2010, 01:47 AM.

Where was I in denial, I swear every Pashtunkhwa Pashun says that those are made in Lahore. I honestly didn't know if they lived in Pashtunkhwa or are part of our culture. I don't believe that is Pashtun culture. Do you, seriously?Originally posted by Toramana View PostLet us be clear (no need to be in denial). We the Pashtunkhwa Pashtuns may have such kind of people in our midst but then no society then is monolithic as for as cultural values are concerned. This is so more true of Parswanans, Tajaks, Iranians, etc. where you would find more diversity in terms of profession (from *****s to highly accomplished people), cultural tastes, social values, etc.
ComradePashtun, instead of scarcastic explaination of how might that video have come up on behalf of Pashtuns of Pakhtunkhwa, you should say a reply to the kind of caharacterization that your Parswan buddies make of you. Why not say a rejoinder to the Kite Runner or the Thousand Splendid Sons? It is like pouring a cain of karcol on someone.
Yaara no need to be sentimental about Kite Runner etecetra. It is hardly the pouring of charcoal as you think. Pashtu kshe matal dai, wayee zhamay be teer see kho toor walay be ye degyanoo ta pathee see, no makh ba da dwe toor wee. Nothing to worry about bro, Pashtun image cannot be worn off. You are also free to write a noval. I assure you che zrraoona da hamdagha khaalko chauwdali dee, zma aw sta na. Yaara, seriously Kite Runner bandi sook metyazee hum nakawi. My friend (non Afghan/Pashtun) who is mastering in critical thiking only had desdain for the style of writting and the very novel itself. And I asked her specifically that if there is anything about the noval that can directly taint our image, although that might have been the authors aim. Her reply was absolutely no, with a grin of surprise. I read less than a quarter of it and then threw it back to the stotrage.Last edited by ComradePashtun; 10-28-2010, 09:40 AM.

I never call this reflection of Pashtons culture, i know pashtons enough to know about Pashton culture.. i call this Pakistani culture and it surly reflects the culture and value of there...for these are artists of that country and they represent their culture.Originally posted by ComradePashtun View PostI don't know what to say about this thread in general.
But in Pashtu we have a saying "Kaarwan ba tereezhee aw spee ba ghapee". No matter who made that video, its is only a reflective of their selves only and their pitty state. That doesn't and can't do nor take away anything to Pashtuns, abosutely nothing. There is nothing to get angry and nor respond to it, no need to bring the level down.
ahhaha stop flattering yourself.. it was pashtons who sold afghanistan first to Russian, then to American, Arabs and even the cultureless inferior Pakistanis. Just as yesterday there was news of Karzia receiving money from Iran...but then its OK because Karzai people were involved in it. If it was the work of a Shia or Hazara or Tajiks it was a danger to Afghanistan sovereignty and territorial integrity. Even if Karzai sell Afghanistan to Iran it is OK because it is OK. It is OK because Pashton Karzai did it and Pashton Karzai did it because it is for the benefit of Afghans and Afghanistan.Pashtuns have also made similar videos and they don't represent us. Our problems will not get solved through similar method. Pashtuns in Afghanistan in particular have responsibility of being the guardians of their land and its all people, and should seek things through profound sense the aforementioned responsibilty.
It is OK because Karzai do such things for the interests of Afghanistan and everyone who works for the interests of Afghanistan should be OK except Shia and Hazaras and Tajiks who are enemies to Afghans and Afghanistan.
It is OK because Karzai who is from Kandahar did it. If he was from Ghazni then it was not OK. Or if he was Masood it was not OK. Or if he was Rabbani it was not OK. The same true for Amir Ul Momomeen Mullah Saheeb Omar akhond...if he sell afghanistan to pakistan and becomes lapdog of dirty pakis its ok...since Kandhari Omar is defender of Islam and Afghanistan.
Lets hope for the sake of our distress people that good days are ahead... lets hope for establishment of justices and equality, and brotherhood...we had suffered enough for sakes and sin of others.Don't let pitty emotions play with your mind, be cool and level-headed and have the warm heart. Good days are coming our way, inshallah. Prepare yourself for a bigger battle of self betterment and advancing your country, accomplish something of true value and treasure and wealth for yourself and next generation. Re-establish THE AFGHAN PRIDE.
Don't bother yourselves with these videos.
Parsiwan,
I honestly don't know if by definition I could argue whether that does represent Paksitani culture or not, you could say yes or no. Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa should be concious because it is done in their name, that is what concerns me and it is bothersome. From what I know these women are from Panjab, these videos go through all stages of its contruction in Lahore and then is dumped in Pashtunkhwa.
Who knows if these woman are from punjab or not? These videos are made for entertainment of Pakistani Pashton...the reason there are tons of these kind of video and films is b/c there are demands for it...its reflects the culture of the people. As the saying goes saag e zard Badar e Shaqal ast...i see no diff between these people and that of Lahore.

I dont know what to say about this thread, all i am going to say. Those videos do not reflect Pakistani culture at all. So to sit here and label it as 'Pakistani culture' is totally wrong and unfair. How would you like it if Bacha Baazi was labeled as a reflection of 'Afghanistan's culture?' no i dont think so.....none of you would like that....so dont do it.

Parsiwan schmuck,
What I said I stand by it is by and large as the making of history. What I conveyed was for intelligent people to understand and you proved yourself to be a brain-dead chavunistic monkey Toramana keeps bringing up. Again we bear more responsibility than any one, and we should be thiking wiser than piss-matching with you miserable soul.
As for Taliban being sold out, your entire clan is also sold out. They resorted to what your NA did, seeking help from foreign source, in your case France Russai and Iran and in their's poor Pakistani and they still kicked their aas.
Russians were brought by Babrak Karmalove a Tajik, and so are the Americans brought by NA. These are fact that are unqestionable to 99.999999% of the entire world population.
I am not endorsing this cash saga and the rest of it, but Karzai is the president and a Tajik and Hazara are his deputies. Any dealings with any country through our formal head of state is not a crime. Hazaras's case or other non-state proxy groups for that matter are criticised for being proxies (this is history any way), and we don't accept that. Just as we criticise Taliban. I don't understand what was your point bringing that up?
You are seriously embarassing yourself, you should be the last one to talk about culture.Last edited by ComradePashtun; 10-28-2010, 09:41 AM.

Laila....this is from a Pakistani film...which is openly shown in public cinema, tv and etc... while Bachia bazi are behind close doors. Film and music is reflection of culture. Let's refrain from spewing hate, we should engage in more constructive dialogues as opposed to finger-pointing.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

You get cornered and you start the name calling... but i will not do the same.. your comrade Babrak was son of General Hussan who called himself Pashton(there was no Tajik General in whole Afghanistan army during zahir e Kaal time.)..he even had relative in FATA someone named Kokikhill… now when he missed up and turn sold out half of your people call him Kashmiri and other half call him Tajik. Shame on you racist people for not owning to your mistakes…Babrak was second of Shah Shuja..both Pashtons.

Hahaha Parsiwan my uneducated friend,
Educate yourself and then come and reason. Babrak Karmal's ethnicity is laughed at by world known scholars and some times metaphorically reffered to the ethnic dimension in Afghan politics.
Never in history Pashtun power declined so steeply as it did durring Karmal era, under the jaggernaut of Russian invasion. Russians largely distrusted Pashtun communists as nationalists and did everything to curb their power. I only described you, that wasn't name calling. Be carefull with what you wish for. You owe everything to Americans, and yet you have the audacity to come and tell us Pashtuns brought them?Last edited by ComradePashtun; 10-28-2010, 03:31 AM.

Nope i didn't say that... anything happening behind close door...inside your home is none of anyone business ..as long as its not hurting someone or breaking any law. The thing about Islamic countries are that sh@. Happens but they try to hide or suppress it…bacha Bazi or Paedophile is a a pychiratic disorder.. "As a medical diagnosis, pedophilia (or paedophilia) is typically defined as a psychiatric disorder in adults or late adolescents (persons age 16 and older) characterized by a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children (generally age 13 years or younger, though onset of puberty may vary)."Originally posted by ayub View Postokay then..so that makes it all right then...
