I think Karzai is the lesser one because he has a few good intentions. He wants the occupation to end, and he has made it clear, so in that regard, he was the lesser of the two. Abdullah Abdullah I think would have gone to any extremes to prove his loyalty to foreigners (thats why they liked him so much).

It was a competition between two, and one had a little sense and some dignity left. karzai at least knows the reality on the ground.

I don't think Olas Mashar will allow Punjab and its agents to re-occupy Afghanistan. Punjabi media is an indicator of his intentions that is why it has so intensely kept on his character assassination campaign.
