I have never felt that in Pashtunkhwa, the culture is intact. The problem is that the schooling and the idea that Pakistan is some islamic country. This leads to Pashtuns with a warped sense of history and worse yet loyalty because zionists are out to get this state lol. More loyal to the king than the king himself.
i hate to see persianized pashtuns and punjabized pashtus.
The urban Pashtuns of Afghanistan ( specifically in Kabul city) are being persianized. They shave their beards off and speak Farsi in public gatherings to make others believe their "civilized".
And the Pakified Pashtuns in Pashtunkhwa are equally deplorable. You have some Pashtuns from Pashtunkhwa who cant count in Pashto. And all they say is tarrrrrrr darrrrrrrr.
No, my fellow pakistanis consider me as ethnicity-obssessed nationalist and frequently call me to move to afghanistan instead if i care so much about afghans.
Common pashtun sticks to pashtun culture and ways but elite class of pashtuns is heavily desified...i am talking of such pashtuns...

But elite Pashtuns mainly imitate Western culture to look refined. They can understand the inferiority of Punjabi culture.
