Speaking of a state within a state isn't that the army and ISI? I wonder who will do an operation against them...chief justice saab :-P? NOT

Plus I think eventually US will get their way in N waziristan, which makes me wonder if they want it so bad why aren't they tightening the screws on them?

No arguments from my side shayesta and BLS, maybe when I was new to this forum I would have argued because at that point I still believed that sound reasoning could help dispel the misunderstandings between pakistanis and adghans but you guys have a fixed state of mind that is unwilling to look at and consider the ground realities..it's love for your country and I admire that, it's what countrymen are honor-bound to do but any argument here is a waste of time..

^ That's because you don't have any argument to back up your lies!

Though it's good to see that unlike some idiots you don't insist on proving yourself right (no matter what) and just let the truth be the truth; Even if you don't agree. Oh and by the way, BLS is from Pakhtunkhwa and even you deny this then guess what? He is still from Pakhtunkhwa!

^ pardon the spelling mistakes, i do have an argument shayesta..but i dont see sense in presenting it, our point of views are too divergent to ever come to a common understanding

So? Don't we argue in first place because we disagree? Why would we argue if we were to agree or have the same point of view? :S

^ that is a good point, I guess I don't argue anymore because I don't want to strain the already fragile opinion pakistanis and afghans have of eachother .. It's just more bad blood..we argue if we know that there is some hope of changing the other person's point of view..and since we both know that there isn't, I'd rather leave on a peaceful note with no hard feelings

I value peace over the desire to assert one's righteousness on matters that we really can never actually be part of

Listen greenman, I am aware of the pashtunistan issue as I am from those areas. However I was talking about the strategic depth theory of pakistan which came into being in the 90s. The Pashtunistan issue predates strategic depth. Now run along and sing kashmir banegaa Pakistan.

You must have been on drugs during that period if you couldmn't judge their motives when these ISI sponsored militant organization would wall chalk addresses and phone nos. to contact them for "Jihad" training. Do you think Pakistan was unaware of them at that time? Not at all. It was part of the game.

Point is very simple, puppet-afghan governments with the backing of foreign powers always tried to create unrest in FATA. These declassified documents are proof of this.

These events happened in 1965 when Daud Khan , under the Soviet umbrella backed terrorist activities in Bajour and other areas. He even foolishly tried an open assault and lost badly.

Today also the US-installed afghan government, under the US umbrella, is creating unrest in the border areas and just like before india is aiding these acts and is actively supporting terrorism against Pakistan.

Daud Khan thought he can fool the Soviets and though the Soviets he'll be able to turn his wet dream of pashtunistan' into a reality but the Soviets disposed him off.

Karzai too thinks that he can pull off the same by being under the US umbrella and while he is not openly talking about his intentions the US-installed afghan government actively backs militants activities in Pakistan

Recent disclosures by Woodward about the mostly afghan mercenaries they have operating inside Pakistan leaves no doubt that the unrest in Pakistan is being backed by the US-installed puppet regime of Karazi.

The indians are trying to make the best of this situation as always , to give Pakistan that mortal blow about which they too have been having wet dreams since our inception in 1947.

This whole nonsense about 'strategic depth' is bull crap perpetuated by Indians.

By 'strategic depth' they mean that by having control over Afghanistan in a war with India Pakistan will be able to move into Afghanistan with its strategic assets ( the nuclear weapons ) to strike back at India ?!?

I mean all I got to say to this is .... HHHHHAHAHAHAHH

Are we THAT foolish that we'll move our trump defence card into territory that we know contains hostile elements?!?!

Whose the genius that came up with this super stupid idea

This theory is just bull crap ... if Afghanistan would not have fingered through propagating the 'pastunistan' issue we wouldn’t have bothered about what goes on in Afghanistan , its really that simple

By the way you mean to say you are from FATA ? We’ll then it’s a real shame that you spew so much hatred against Pakistan

If you are currently in FATA then I’m quite sure that internet connection you are using uses PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunications Corporation Limited) lines and the roads that you travel on are built by Pakistan National Highway Authority.

If you are abroad then I’m quite sure that you have travelled on a Pakistani passport

But still you harbour hate against Pakistan, well then this is a real shame and I don’t want to have country men like you.

If you don’t want to be part of Pakistan we should just cut you off from the rest of Pakistan , you can live the way you want , exchange women to settle disputes or whatever else , we don’t have to spend precious time , lives and resources on people like you.

you need to read up a little bit about the past and open your eyes to whats going on in the present and it'll all make sense.

So yes, you should not care about Afghanistan. This means that you should leave the Pashtun lands alone because they do not belong to you. Once you do this, there will be no hostility towards you.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should never have been a part of Pakistan. Its like Pashtun people trying to govern parts of your Punjab. It makes no sense whatsoever, and this problem will carry on until you finally understand that those lands are not yours to begin with. The Pashtuns there have never been happy with foreign rule.

The British split the Pashtun lands because they wanted to divide us and make us weak, so they ensured that they would have an agreeing party within Pakistan.

Get the facts straight and wake up. the British carved the world up like this. They also carved the Ottoman Empire up (maybe you should read up on it and open your eyes).

We can agree on one thing that people should not be held against their will ... I fully believe in this

Let there be referendums in all troubled areas and if they want to make their imaginary kingdom then let it be but if they choose to be with Pakistan then that too must be accepted.

Not all people in 'Pashtun Lands' as you call it are too keen to break away from Pakistan

Just recently when the NWFP's name was changed there was such and uproar in Hazara division over the non-representative name of the province that any such stupidity involving 'separating' from Pakistan will simply not be accepted across the board in so called 'Pashtun Lands'

As a Pakistani I WANT to know who my country mate really is and who is the enemy within (so that we are free to wage open war on the enemies should there be a need) Therefore we need to have referendums in all troubled areas for the betterment of everyone.
