Yes. We ISI is a Punjabi organization. I know Lt. General Orakzai who also served as Governer NWFP, a staunch anti afghan, and I also know General Habibullah khan who served in the British Army and then his son General Ali Quli Khan who was in Pakistan/Punjab's army. We know the offsprings of many Khan Bahadurs and Khan Saheb's (British title for their loyalists in Pakhtunkhwa) who are working now for the Pakistani/Punjabi state. Such have people have a history of betrayal and treachery to Pashtun(afghans).

Even the figures you have mentioned are highly exaggerated. If Pashtuns were in such numbers in the Pakistan army then we would see hundreds of people in our towns and cities, but the fact is that you don't see many people serving in the army, though your could be correct about civil services. The population of my town is more than 80 thousands but you can't show me that proportion of population to be in the Pakistan army.Originally posted by BLS_1919v2.0 View PostDo you know that that is the most overplayed statement by people who try to defend these institutions? Pashtuns make 13-14% of the army, and they haven't made many upper cadre people since a long long time. The unit that is mostly pashtun is FC and that too was due to the British policies in the region...Pakistan basically inherited the system. PLus, what is so good about General Orakzai? He was governor of Khyber Pashtunkhwa during the time Khyber Pashtunkhwa went officially down the toilet.

But such people represent a very tiny minority who were rewarded first by the British and now by Pakistan/Punjab. They don't have any roots in the people of Pakhtunkwa, even they don't reside in Pakhtunkhwa and prefer to live abroad or their homes in Islamabad.Originally posted by ZahirWell, what can I say, thats Khyber Pakhtunwa Pashtuns for you!!!!Agreed!!! I guess living in Pakistan rubbed off on them!!

This is the strangest thing I've ever heard that if a pashtun leaves his home then he will no longer be a Pakhtun.Originally posted by ZahirI have family in Khost, Afghanistan that only my dads cousins keep in touch with, and Quetta (city where there are lots of Afghan refugees). But technically speaking, according to my grand uncles, I our family is no longer Pashtun since we left Afghanistan lol!!! So there you have it!!!
If you leave that land, you are out. I don't know if the same applies to Pakistani Pakhtunwa?

At least it shows one thing that your remaining family lives in Khost (afghanistan) and some in Quetta city as refugees but you said they are working for ISI, which is a Pakistani intelligence agency. Am I correct?Originally posted by ZahirI have family in Khost, Afghanistan that only my dads cousins keep in touch with, and Quetta (city where there are lots of Afghan refugees). But Pakistan army according to many Pakistanis/Punjabis is the most disciplined institution in their country. While ISI is a subsidiary of the Army beside MI (military intelligence) so that claim about Pakistan army seems to be too shallow.Originally posted by ZahirWell, Im glad they work there because my father gets a better news source than most of you do. I get the real deal, the real scoop on whats going on. You think as Pashtuns they will actively go against their people.
Pakistan government is selling Pakthunwa to Americans and alllowing them to bomb it freely, and yes, the army is also a part of this strategy. Its all about money. The more the US gives Pakistan, the more that country will do its bidding. I for one have no love for the Pakistani army in general, but you should know that their is dissension within the ranks.
Its pure money coming and going into peoples pockets. This aid is not used for military purposes otherwise the US would not give it because they are aiding India. This aid is purely used to line peoples pockets in various ways. Now anyone could figure that out, but the ISI has verified this.
ISI Agent (i will get the name) wrote this book where he himself talks of Pakistan as a country full of traitors!!! I enjoyed the book. Its back at home. You guys will have to wait awhile till I post it up. There are you happy, a self-loathing Pakistani. never thought I would say it, but thats kind of admirable is it not?
If you have ever studied the Pashtun resistence movement in the British India and know something about the way Pakistan was created, you should have known that Pashtuns resisted their merger in Pakistan and almost all of them identify themselves as Pashtuns despite our land's forced merger into this (fake) Pakistani federation.Last edited by khyaal; 09-21-2010, 04:12 PM.

When your family abroad doesn't consider itself as Pashtun(afghan) then why, btw, your father is so interested in the news about Pashtuns(afghans) and their land?Originally posted by ZahirWell, Im glad they work there because my father gets a better news source than most of you do.
