Afghan turn out in great number...in Mazari Sharif, Samangan, Herat, Farah, Badakhshan, Punjshir and all north, northwestern region the turnout was so great that they had to extend the voting hours for 4 more hours so all people can vote. In Eastern and Northeastern region the voting hours were extending 2 more hours...Jalalbbad was packed with people. In south and south western...specially Kandhar and Hellmand the voting hours in city of Kandhair, Lashkargar was extending for 2 hours. My cousin works for election committy, I just got off phone with him, he said it was amazing how many people turn out to vote.

The turn out in afghanistan's elections was far higher (40% ) than the turnout in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(36%) though the extent of insurgency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was mainly limited to Swat. Congratulations to brave Afghans on their successful elections.
