That is why I keep saying that most Muslims don't even know what their own book says. I guess the expression holds true that most people who believe in God are simply indoctrinated. Otherwise, if they were not, then the Muslim nations should be very peaceful for their own scripture preaches peace.

Allah has many names and attributes. Love is just one of them. Allah teaches in the quran to hate al munkar. Al Munkar is all reprehensive acts and beliefs that oppose Islam.

Hatred for the disbelievers and harshness towards them is an act of worship and obedience to allah.

Perhaps either you missed the boat or your scripture is very contradictory. I rather settle for the former. I respect Muslims for history speaks in their favour, but what you have written is pure ignorance.

But how you are deciding that Ahmad shah masood and Dr Najibullah are criminal and this Dajjal is not criminal, he is the biggest criminal. I did not want to use such words, but you provoke and he is worst than Dajjal for this nation.

Like I said before, The afghans were lucky to have the taliban come because they restored security and most of you didnt live through the anarchy that was in afghanistan, but any security is better than no security. The taliban inherited a country in ruins, so what ever they did, that is the only thing they knew, most of them grew up in madrassas in poor villiges, what do you expect from them. Most of you are listening to western media that blames the taliban for everything evil, next thing you will hear is hitler and stalin were a talib or vise versa and people will believe it.

As far as Najib is concerned, if he was smart, he should of learned from history that the tribes will never ally with any afghan government that is considered a foreign puppet. That has never happened and will never happen. This is against the tribes creed. Pakistans ISI was smart enought to know this, they talked about islam and freedom and Najib talked about russians and communism. Who are the tribes going to ally with.

Right now the ISI is doing the same thing preaching islam and freedom, and Karzia is talking about America and Democracy, who are they going to choose. Its not a true democracy if you are not allowing all politicall parties to participate and allow the people to freely chose on whose policies they like. Its not a democracy when you have the same corrupt leaders in power after 10 years. Its not a democracy when the leaders "elected" are protected by a foreign military.
The minute america lost in afghanistan was when they declined Karzais plan to make peace with the taliban back in early 2002 because they were blinded by arrogance just like the British and the Russians. And look where we are now, its too late now. You only get one chance with the tribes, after that all trust is lost, like they say "ya maer ya moer" all or nothing. Weather you like the mullahs or hate the mullahs, they are part of the society and if you want to change the way they want to live, the way they've lived for centuries, well then you have a fight on your hands.

It was Najibs failed policies that brought the government down and destroyed the afghan national army splitting it along ethnic lines. He talks about Pakistani generals taking over afghanistan, what about the Russian generals taking over Afghanistan, and the American Generals taking over Afghanistan. the Pakistani generals are too smart to go to Kandahar and dictate to mula omar in publicly like the russian generals did in Kabul to Karmal and Najib and the American Generals are doing to Karzai.

Sangar, consider places like Pakistan and Afghanistan - the point LZ was making is that Muslims, supposedly following Islam are responsible for shaking the very foundation of faith for many other people and driving them from Islam. You might say that those driven have weak iman, but that counter argument is that Muslims should be able to look to one another to be able to strengthen their iman.

The "hard" version of Islam - the one you allegedly subscribe to whereby you are hostile of the smallest differences - is not exactly a commercial for our faith and drives the counter movement. Not all, incidentally are Al Munkar.

It was when the Muslims made al hijra to Madina and some people were not happy with this. And especially when after the Hijra Jihad was prescribed for the Muslims.

So the people who leave Islam because they want Islam to be all cuddly and cozy, they need to understand that Islam is about sacrifice.

Obviously we are suppose to strive to spread the message and be active in da3wah to Islam. But when you are attacked and bombed, it is obligatory to rise up in arms against the aggressors. Those Muslims are now demonized because they answered the call of duty.

When the holy quran talks about dajaal, I think it is saying that it would be one eyed metaphorically. dajaal would see by means of progress by any means necessary and would be unable to see with his heart and have compassion. capitalism comes to mind because capitalism has no compassion but only profit is important at the expense of everything else even the destruction of self. it is based on greed, greed brings progress (profit) but it destroyes the spirit of man and everything around him.

in essence what he says is that the jihad is not legitimate, than why are these arabs coming all the way to afghanistan to fight jihad when jerusalem is in their neighbourhood, warns about the mujahiddeen and that a victory by them is a victory for ISI generals etc

I agree with you. This sound more coherent. Something I would gladly accept as a better explanation.

But don't forget that most Muslims switch between literal meanings and metaphorical meanings faster than they change their under garments, whatever suits them. According to the saying of our prophet, I would pin-point the Anti-Christ to be Mullah Omar--the most apparent sign has manifested itself on him: his right eye is missing. Ironic, wouldn't you say so?

I will say to all responses, that ISI was smart to side with tribes and use islam. Will someone call this Afghans consent? Very nice, if Taliban wants peace in Afghanistan, they shoudl throw away the weapons and come and compete in election, and if people choose them, well, but to bring peace through arms and weapons, by torturing, by kidnapping, by threatening is no way peace.
We talk about Islam, that it is a religion of peace, but rpactically we show that it is the religion of barbarism. So which islam is true, the islam of peace or Islam of barbarism.
It is no way an excuse to do barbarism and go out of control if anyone else is doing it.

Religion should not be something that should be considered when choosing a president. I can be a great leader but I might be a horrible worshiper. Islam is great for those who want to follow it. Get in your room, get your Quran and read for your entire life,but, don't force me to read it.

We need a leader that can work for us. Najib tried but Pakistan got rid of him.

Wheather you believe religion should be considered in a leader or not, it doesnt matter what you think because all politicians know that in order to be a good leader you must be what your followers want you to be, You say you could be a good leader without reading the quran, in afghanistan you would not because nobody would follow you.

Show me a place where religion is not considered when choosing a president. Have you ever wondered why no catholic has been president of the United states but one, and that one was assasinated along with most of his family.
