It isn't the beginning of their world nor the end of it. The few there that even feel attachment is due to the constant hype around muslim Pakistan hindu India. Now in those areas where qibaelee people are muslim, obviously they don't want to be known as a hindu agent or Kaffir (people who advocate Loy Afghanistan are called this by Pakistani agencies and before even trying to bring about Pashtunkhwa autonomy was straight kuffar and treachery). So it is unfair to put that claim. Ofcourse all Pashtuns are Afghans (even Pakistan's mufakkr Iqbal used Afghan to designate Pashtunkhwa Pashtuns, but obviously in areas like Peshawar they want to dilute that for political purposes).

About Pathan khansaamas, I agree with you. They are bigger dukhmans to us than even peerangyaan. They are the people who have pimped out their people and brought destruction in Pashtunkhwa and Afghanistan. So I agree with you completely. However, you have to make a difference between the regular Pashtuns (as well as the political reality of the citizenship...inshallah unity will be our future, but we can't deny what is in front of us today), and those pathans. There is a clear difference.
Sure Pakistani is a citizenship, if a Pashtun is a resident of Lahore then let him call himself Gujar, Punjabi, Pakistani etc - what ever suits him, I could care less.

But NWFP is not Pakistan! NWFP is not Pakistan's property! Those who reside in NWFP have no reason to call themselves Pakistani because that is the land of Afghans. How can you fellows talk of unity when there is a British drawn border in between?

How can you call for unity when you accept the legality of an annexed and occupied territory!?

Come talk to me about unity when you have taken part in a revolution to take back what is Pashtun property. Come talk to me about Pashtun unity when you have stood against the Durrand line. Come talk to me about unity when you have stopped being 21% of the overall manpower of Pakistani Army.

    "Pashtunkhwa", really?

How about we make up 21% of Iran's army singing Iran's national anthem every morning and call for Pashtun unity?

The truth is the majority of Pashtuns in NWFP were opportunists, they put their economic well being before their ethnic solidarity and now that the true face Pakistan has been uncovered they are calling for Pashtun 'nationalism'.

O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

Akbar da zaanla leegyaa ae ao hawaee ddazae kae. Za tsa waemaa ao tha tsa wae. First of all, I know it is Afghan land, I didn't say otherwise. I don't need a durand line or durand treaty to know this. It was Afghan land before there was even a state formed called Afghanistan.

I am giving you a basic idea...just like Chechnya is technically Russia, just like Abkhazia is technically Georgia, just like Kashmir is technically split between India and Pakistan, the same is the case for us.

What revolution? Khudae khidmathgaars already rejected Pakistan in the referendum...Faqirr i ipi was already fighting Pakistan. What else was possible then? I stand against durand line all the time..shall I buy a t-shirt? Or do you want me to dance on television? Seriously.

Oh and Pashtuns make 14 % of the army (and that is barely 14 %).....I know a lot of people like posting fantasy stats and fantasy history, but try harder next time. You know, for once some of you members should try making a little political sense and then post...rather than ranting like you just did. Manana

        @akbarkhan

Your afghanistan had sold this "property" of NWFP to british for 12 lakhs per year. Afghanistan is no longer owner of the "property".

No need to buy t-shirts or shoot a music video.

Okay, let us assume it is 14%. What would you say if 14% of Iran's army comprised of Kandaharis, Helmandi's and Paktiawals?

I am not ranting about anything, I am just trying to show you how ironic your 'Pashtunkha' stance is given the conflict of interest.

Where is the irony? What I stated was a political reality. BTW what is my "Pashtunkhwa" stance?

Your example is off base. It would only be correct if say Abdur Rahman sold Kandahar, Helmand and Paktia out to Iran for a set amount of money. Then if that land fell under Iran...then you can use that example. As of now it is a hawaaeee ddaz. Historically though ye Ahmad Shah Baba was a general in Nadir Shah's army..so there is precedent of Pashtuns serving other empires. That is the closest of an example I can give you. Other than that your example is pointless. Keep within context. Manana

My Afghanistan hasn't! A single stupid person has and a single stupid person does not represent all Afghans. Just like Mulla Bijligar doesn't represent all you Pakistani Pathans.

Every single Afghan longs for NWFP, even the Tajiks!

There is a harsh reality in what you have stated, we are paying for it!

Yes Pashtuns on both sides are paying for it...and until we don't get out of this mentality of blaming each other or one upping each other (worse yet misunderstanding one another), it won't go away.

As long as the line is drawn between us, we will suffer.

I completely agree Akbar wror. However, before we start a proper unification we have to understand our political situation. We have pashtuns here constantly misunderstanding the political situation of Pashtunkhwa or Northern Afghanistan, or Qibaeel, etc. In stead of working to clear them and forge a better future, we end up with pettiness. Lets forget the wrongs and mistakes of the past that our people did, and start thinking about the future. Is it too much to ask? Can't we forget them and start a proper process for Loy Afghanistan?

Do you agree that Islam is the only unifying force amongst Pashtuns? If not then elaborate.

Islam is part of our identity no doubt, and it is a unifying force. However, we also have the same language, same history, nation, pashto, etc as well. These are all important factors. However this is not the topic at hand.

Pashtunkhwa peera means south pashtunkhwa (balochistan area pashtuns), FATA, Khyber Pashtunkhwa (PATAs, FR, settled districts, etc) and Mianwali/Attok.

Yes there is disunity but that doesn't mean they shouldn't. We should at least start ao ka senga? Judging by the way things are going we don't have much of a choice.

Did the Islam Unify Taliban and the Anti Soviet Jihadis?

                                A BIG NO!

Did Islam stop the tajiks from raping Pashtun womne in North Afghanistan?

You only use Islam to keep tajiks, uzbeks and co under your rule otherwise you couldnt give a care about Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa when it comes to Unification.

Is unifying with Hamid gul, Col Imam and co part of your Islamic cause for unifying with Pashtuns?

Will the Wahabist Pashtuns accept Shia Pashtuns such as bangash and those in Kurram areas?

Will you accept the Sufi Pashtuns aswell?

You insulted Nationalism because you guys are recovering from betrayal from some elements of Pakistan ISI, so you guys only want to get one over on Pakistan.

Btw AkbarKhan, My uncle spent all his time serving the peoples of Karachi, and that includes defending Pashtun citizens, Where are you Afghans to support Pashtuns against MQM? No Where to be seen.

                                Kind Regards
