I’m sure you all have notice some very "religion" type here in our community, i have seen guys talking nonsense and wearing crazy cloths...and amazingly some come from very liberal family...at lest the family were liberal back home. I would like to discusses the reason for radicalization.
1- looking upon western culture as corrupt thus don’t want to intergrate and goes to extrem in order to show their diff?
2-Brianwashing by Arab Wahabi mullahs? as you might know most of the Masjid here in states are either owned by Wahabis or get financial assistance from Saudi Arabia... when Afghans were building Mostafah Masjid here in VA, a representative of Saudi come and said they will contribute if and only if we accept a mullah from them...Afghan community leader rejected this offer.

I have no idea about your religious beliefs. But i can say that you are totally ignorant about Islam. hence your assumptions about Jama'at tabligh.

You said that in 1999 a tablighi came to your home and tried to advice you to become more active as a muslim. And you told him off because he was from Lahore and in Lahore there are brothels.

This implies that you are a total imbecile.

Jama'at tabligh want to invite fellow Muslims to become more aware about their religion. They cannot go and close brothels. Because the brothels are protected by Pakistani Secular Government.

Muslims are not allowed to fight corruption in Pakistan. If you want to close brothels, liquor stores, and lock up drug dealers, you need to be in power. Since the government of pakistan is in the hands of secular monkeys like Zardari and Asfandyar Wali Khan, those brothels will never close.


Now let us discuss why you lot, especially the pro American pashtun Nationalists are predominantly kaafirs here on Pashtunforums. There are a large number of members of this forum who are outspoken Pashtun nationalists who are here to ridicule our religion and mock our beliefs and practices.

What kind of Muslim are you when you join hands with such people? Obviously there is a deficiency in your imaan since you choose allegiance with the disbelievers and enemies of our religion over allegiance with the muslims.

This reveals that you are in fact the one who is suppose to correct yourself rather than pointing fingers at others who are on the sirat al mustaqim.

and I am a radical Muslim fundamentalist. Radical because I go to the root of Islam and adhere to the core of the religion which is monotheism. I identify myself as a Muslim, a slave of allah. I am a fundamentalist because I stick to the fundamental aspects of the religion which are the Quran and the Sunnah.

This is something I am very proud of. And any Muslim should be a radical fundamentalist.

The reason why they are radicalised is due to the fact that they assume life in the west is the same as life in the Muslim world. They dont understand that the Muslim world is corrupted and people have no rights there and relgionous minorities live in fear while the minorities in the west live in luxury and peace.

These Wahabi Arabs/Saudi Followers stir trouble to gain numbers, they want to see Christians fight Muslims, Jew fight Muslims etc so they get recruits and supporters.

Two situations:

Situation A:

I consider "crises of the double identity" as one of the reasons for the radicalization of the diaspora. Questions like "should I consider myself American, Afghan/Pashtun, or Muslim first"? "Can I be a good American and Muslim at the same time? How can I consider myself American (even though I enjoy all benefits as a citizen,lol) if America is responsible for every bad thing happening in the world?". How can I integrate in the American society if I am from a different culture?" Will my parents allow me to go with my non-muslim friend to celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas or Diwali? Can I invite them for Akhtar? And hence Situation A undergoes some sort of psychic dilemma of intense and extreme nature leaving him/her in chaos (I think I don't like my American friends since they always make fun of me. I think I am never going to be accepted and recognized in this society). In the event of prevalence of the double-identity crises, the person will undergo radical psychic reorientation, which means he/she will not only determine some radical goals of mild to extreme nature but will also try to develop some ways and means to achieve such goals in order to defend against the tangible/untangible discriminations and full recognition by the country/society.

Situation B:

Situation B will take the new situation as a challenge and as a golden opportunity to fully benefit from their double cultural identity (Pashtun and American). Dealing with such situation will be a daunting task but they will still try their level best to maintain that balance where they do not lose their own cultural values but at the same time adapt to the new challenging environment.Such people are very clear in their mind: they know who they are (Pashtuns/Afghans), they know where they are from originally (Afghanistan/Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa), where they are standing now (a foreign land), and what are they going to do in a "different" situation.Hence they are not confused as situation A and they are not affected by any kind of radical influence.

In sum:

The Situation A finds the solution to his/her double-identity crises by attaching him/herself to some absolute "truth" of eternal nature and value rather than identifying with the culture/society that they are living.
The Situation B, on the other hand, reinvents him/herself, which not only involves keeping his original identity but also taking pieces from different idenities.
