QUETTA: The Kakar Democratic Party has demanded splitting the province of Balochistan and making a separate province, called Kakaristan comprising the Pashtun areas in a news conference at Quetta Press Club Wednesday.

The Chairman of the Kakar Democratic Party, Malik Shamsuddin acknowledged the Khyber Pashtunkhwah.

He said that 70% of the population in the Pashtun areas comprises the Kakars. Hence, the province should be divided and a new province by the name of Kakiristan should be made.

He also demanded that by keeping with tradition, a Pashtun should be appointed as governor of the new province. SAMAA

although i support splitting the pashtun areas of baluchistan, it shouldnt be in order to make a kakaristan even though za khpala yaw kakar yum

i can understand if all the pashtun areas were made into one province with different districts/agencies, and then you can maintain the orakzais, khybers, waziristans, kakaristan etc

but not as a province

This is just one of the ploys of ISI to split Pashtuns on misnomers....Kakars are Pashtuns and it is janubii pashtunkhwa.

What is wrong is that it is another way of dividing Pashtuns up...knowing our tribal nature this will just cause problems. Kakars are Afghans aka Pashtuns, so the province should be a part of loy afghanistan/Pashtunkhwa. This is like Khyber Pashtunkhwa being called Yousafzai, since they are the most numerous tribe in the area..or dividing Afghanistan into Durrani Ghilzai. Stop pandering to ISI.

They might be employiing the same logic that the name of Pakhtunkhwa doesn't properly represent Karkar Qaam and they feel polluted and impure when they are denoted by the generalized name of 'Pashtuns'.

I know about these exponents of Kakaristan, they are non entities in the politics of Janubi Pakhtunkhwa.
