Because they focus all their economic and intellectual efforts on their useless army, which allowed them to successfully develop a nuke without a functioning state.

It’s honestly genius. The nukes are probably the only reason the name Pakistan even exists on a map today. Sure the rest of the country is a miserable hellhole, but why would the army care how hard life is for some random pleb?
