First, remember this war caused over a million Afghan deaths, many more wounded, and made IDPs and refugees of a large segment of the population. This war primarily effected Pashtuns.
I used to be mocked here for always bringing up the NATO supply lines as if it was irrelevant, but now that President Trump cleverly has decided on withdrawal, I would like to refresh the topic of NATO supplies to two audiences.
1) Pakistani nationalists proud of their prostitute state
2) fake Afghan nationalists who want to follow the Pakistani example.
A few points.
Pakistan has benefitted immensely from the "War on terror" that Trump is ending. For bending over and giving NATO supplies, they got billions in aid and IMF loans as well as the nuclear sanctions removed. Despite all that, they still have a broken economy.
The fake Pashtun nationalists who flocked to Kabul on the back of the Tajik dominated Northern Alliance falsely spun a anti-Pakistani narrative while their whole puppet regime set up was propped up the Pakistani NATO supply lines.
The point I have always made is that all this garbage is the same who thought this arrangement would go on forever. That's why pro-War peeps like Ghani,Abdullah, Karzai, and Saleh try to convince people that this war will continue, and to dismiss Trump.
Nothing lasts forever. These people are garbage.
