You did the right thing imo. I used to have a lot of love for the European country that its hosting me right now, but now I have lost all emotional attachment with it. I used to consider it my home. Now I just consider it the place that I am temporary living in. I dont know what or where my home is, to be honest.

Of course I try always to abide their law. I respect their culture (I will do it until the day I die. I cant personally complain about the West for it gave me a lot and asked me little in return) and I hang out with them (most of my friends are Westerners) but I am increasingly feeling that we have little or nothing in common. I used to care a lot about its domestic problems and politics. Now I dont give a flying f*ck.

I am just keeping a low profile. I dont engage in political debates anymore. I dont try to fix problems. I am just making time living my life with my family until the day of leaving this world arrives. I have just decided to follow the advice Prophet Muhammad gave us: this life is temporary. Dont get too attached to it.
