Macron invited himself to Syria talks, Iran rejected it, says Turkish official - Daily Sabah

French and Brits both should wake up. They are not colonial powers anymore. World is changing. Get used to it.

You are failing to understand what these meetings are about: its not about peace. Its about how to split the cake. Russia, Iran and Turkey are the winners. KSA, Israel and USA are the losers. Its like the Yalta Conference of our times. Losers cant set the pace.

I just find hilarious how France is trying to "infiltrate" in these conversations. Acting like they are bad boys. Mr Macron, those times are gone. Smell the coffee and welcome to the new multipolar world where the West is still dominant but not determinant.

I agree that these ex colonists think they still have a "responsibilty" to get themselves involved in their ex colonies
        .
Than again it's those countries that allow them to involve themselves. Take as an example Libya.

Actually Libya is a good example of how failed and stupid French foreign policy is: UN resolution 1973 asked countries to protect Libyan civilians. Instead of that France and UK both took advantage of it and instead protecting civilians they toppled Gaddafi´s regime. A French agent even killed him.

Gaddafi was killed by French secret serviceman on orders of Nicolas Sarkozy, sources claim | Daily Mail Online

And now Gaddafi is gone, Libya once the most developed country in Africa, is a failed state run by mafias and Jihadis, and all the illegal immigration flooding into Europe pass through that country. Such a successful operation lol

            Good post Firdousi.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
