My mother used to say if you can't help something then make sure you don't worsen it....in my opinion we live in a critical time...the outcomes of our action now to few years from now will determine our faith for maybe 50 to 100 years....so lets leave useless argument for sake of argument and use this platform to better our situation.

Another member Marwat suggest Manzoor Pashteen who has become leader of Pashtuns world wide should distance himself from secular and anti-religion section of our society...in my opinion it is great advice...we need to reach him and convey this concern to him. In addition we can use this forum and social media to promote him.

He's not the leader of Pashtuns worldwide (not to diminish his efforts which are greatly appreciated by everyone). As for distancing himself from the secular liberal weirdos in ANP, I agree he should, but I'm not sure that'd be such an easy path for him. Who else is going to support his protests? PTI and the like will pay lip service to him, but they're not going to risk their national aspirations to support a group of people who are largely hated by the rest of Pakistan. ANP has no other constituency than Pashtuns, so they can put their full support behind his movement. Even if their intentions are to hijack it for their own gain, it's not like these people have anyone else who'll go to bat for them (well, the TTP is apparently supporting the movement too, but that's not exactly going to help them).

Leader not in traditional sense but someone Pashtun can gather around, when my 90+ grandma prays for his success it show how much appealing his idea has. Mind you contrary of what Pakistani media, studies and propaganda portray us, we Afghans are peace loving people....we don't even hate our Pakistani enemy who has been shedding our blood for past 40+ years.

He has so much appeal for majority of Pashtun for he is young and not associated with any political organization(not that I know of)...he should continue to do so. He preach nonviolence and peace in our war torn land.

One more thing...rest assure my children and if I'm Afghan children of my children's will work for Loy Afghanistan...it is not about stubbornness but this is about my identity as people!

Yes such a good idea to lump up all secularist with some people who are anti-relligion. And who are even anti-relligion in that area? Some hard core atheist would do actually more good than harm. Becuase our society is out of balance and is infested with religious extremists.

I can say one thing, if you really think you can build a society with mullahs and mosques and shun down secular taughts or any discussion regarding relligion, then just surrender to taliban and bring back their type of shariah.
Becuase why even bother with this show of insclusion and standing up for people rights, when on the other hand you want to opress people who have a diffrent political view, becuase they do not fit in your agenda.
