How can you be president of a country who's language you don't speak.
We had saqaw government in the 90s and the plundered, killed and raped left and right.
And brother, what have the Pashtun monopolized Governments done so far?
Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

I have no problem with a Tajik leader, but definitely not Atta Noor or anyone with a sullied history. Surely, there are better options out there.

Pashtun refusal of non Pashtuns ruling the country predates USA and those puppets. I still remember two decades how plenty of Pashtuns had this Azmal style mentality. Thanks God those times are gone.Originally posted by khushal View PostPashtuns are also refusing to accept pashtuns like Karzai and Ghani as presidents as well. The rebellion are from pashtuns regions against them not Tajik regions.
Pashtun nationalists on the other hand won't accept another ethnic group. Why? Because they are nationalists."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

Atta is a tutkhor. A watermelon seller. He did a good job in Balkh thats true but the guy is corrupt to the core. If he becomes president Afghanistan will just be like when Karzai ran the show.Originally posted by Iblis_Efreetzai View PostI have no problem with a Tajik leader, but definitely not Atta Noor or anyone with a sullied history. There are plenty of educated Tajiks and Pashtuns willing to rebuild this country. Alas in Afghanistan if you are not a corrupt warlord, a terrorist, a drug dealer or a puppet, you are with absolutely nothing."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

The point is that you point out rebellion against only tajik leadership when the reality is rebellion happens both against tajik and pashtun leadership and to be fair you must also point out the reasons behind them.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostPashtun refusal of non Pashtuns ruling the country predates USA and those puppets. Your claim that pashtuns rebel against tajiki leadership goes against evidence. Pashtuns rebelled against Karmel(a non pashtun) and Najib(a pashtun) not becuase of their ethnicities, but because they were reforming the rurals against their wishes.
Hekmatyar couldnt unify pashtuns do unseat Rabani and Masoud but the Taliban did, not because they were preaching anti-tajikism, but they were preaching against the chaotic warlord environment.
Pashtun Nationalists are weak that don't have a large following and Tajik nationalists are weaker. As long as both are fighting each other for power in the country and try to destroy each other, the clergy will have the upperhand cause they preach brotherhood rather than supremacy.
The Afghan Gov narratives are all BS. The army soldier exists because he is paid with foreign money and as soon as that foreign money stops, You will have a Syria on your hands or a repeat of the Afghan 90's and that is inevitable with the current gov structure. Hopefully the crash will be a soft landing and the bloodshed be limited which is possible since the brutalities of the 80's and 90's are still in the memories of most Afghans but the longer the stalemate lasts, the bloodier it will be since time makes people forget.
