As far as I know the mujahideen (Hizbe Islami, Jamiate islami and Hizbe Wahdat) was responsible for the destruction of Kabul, plundering houses and kidnapping women and children. If they were not criminals who then? I’m not excluding honest and educated persons out of Mujahideen who just wanted to get rid of khalqis/parchamis and Russian. But those sank in the crowd filled by thieves and murderers.
Their original idea of kicking Russians out was undoubtedly a good idea but in the 90’s their primitive instincts took over their ideology and they turned into bloodthirsty and power seeking thugs.

To some degree I understand what motivates this people. Mujahdeens screwed us, our country, our society, everything. Commies were barbaric AF, but its also true that they brought a lot of progress to our country and our society was much "healthier" back then than today. But I can't tolerate how this morons, at the same time, just because they despise the islamists they praise the commies.

In my opinion every single movement/regime in Afghanistan brought positive and negative changes. Daud Khan worked really hard to make Afghanistan a better place, but at the same time he was an emotional moron who screwed our relationship with the URSS and Pakistan. Commies tried hard to educate our people, but they were also a bunch of merciless animals who wanted to erase our culture. Mujahedeens helped us to get rid of those morons, but at the same time they brought shame, destruction and misery to our country. And the Taliban brought us peace and safety but at expense of "insaniyat" and moderation. And of course, they sold us to Pakistan. And finally, these corrupt democrats.. well, democrats are a lost cause. They are by far the most corrupted people ever. Because of them, Taliban are on the rise.

      So f*ck everyone lol

Once you remove the stronger enemy from the equation, movements and political parties start fighting each other. In general, Islamist movements are a failure basically because they are very s tupid. They seem to be unwilling to create united fronts. In Syria, Islamist forces are facing annihilation by the regime and Russia and yet they are unwilling to unite. Screw them. They deserve to be exterminated.

Islamic government and movements are only problematic if people want a modern lifestyle. The objective of an Islamic government is to facilitate a more spiritual and ascetic lifestyle where the function of the state is to provide only the bare necessities of life. In my view, Taliban provided the closest match to a purely Islamic government based on the idea of Islamic lifestyle. Saudi and Iran may be “Islamic” in form but definitely not in substance. They are both steeped in modernism and based on modern political structures. In this day and age, the call for an Islamic government is essentially a reaction to globalization, unchecked capitalism and huge disparity between rich and poor, and the breakdown in public morality, traditional family values and gender roles. Communism was supported by those people who were only interested in ‘economic justice’ and upliftment of the poor, but without the strict religious values and lifestyle. They wanted to continue listening to their immoral folk music, watch dances, go to cinemas, not have to go to the mosque regularly, and for women to be unveiled.

It is often said that people are not ready for an Islamic government, there has to be a phase of spiritual awakening resulting in greater personal piety and discipline. However, at this point, this has simply become an excuse for those who in their heart of hearts don’t want an Islamic government and want to perpetuate the status quo. Once there is an Islamic government, it will strictly enforce the vision of Islam, unwaveringly, and this will eventually make the people accustomed to that lifestyle. In Iran this project failed, especially after Khomeini’s death, because the religious fervor and zeal of the early 1980s died down. It was an example of ‘burnout’. A more successful model of Islamic government will have to take into consideration the reasons for the failure of Iran’s Islamic republic to instill Islamic values and encourage personal piety within its society. Were the ‘Mullas’ simply sidelined from the day to day administration of the country while only retaining the power of veto?

The philosophy behind Islamic government is diametrically opposed to modern conceptions of government, especially the modern social welfare state. Islamic state’s objective is not economic development but only facilitation of an environment that allows for religious lifestyle and for people to practice Islam to the maximum without hindrance.

^^^^ Basically what's written above is tantamount to saying that Islamic government is only "problematic" if people want a good quality of life, where their basic needs are met and thensome. If this is not evidence to how skewed and deranged our current religious establishment is....not sure what is.

There's nothing spiritual about a society where people wallow in destitution. If you want to do that as part of your Sufi suluk, that's fine, but that's a choice you made. We're given talents and tools to prosper not perish.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Islam is against destitution and poverty. But it is also against wanting too comfortable of a lifestyle, like what is in the Western countries and the other rich countries of the world. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

"By Allah, it is not poverty I fear for you, but rather I fear you will be given the wealth of the world just as it was given to those before you. You will compete for it just as they competed for it and it will destroy you just as it destroyed them"

As long as a person has the basic necessities of life like food, clothing, and shelter, it can hardly be said they are living in destitution. The Islamic government's function will be to ensure all its citizens have these necessities. There are many super rich capitalist countries where people are living in destitution, especially the drug addicts, mental health patients, and other downtrodden, outcasts of society. Islam has come to uplift these people.

And Islamic society doesn't need massive buildings, unending shopping centers, and urban sprawl with cars clogging up the streets. That is a sign of a society that has forgotten God. Let ordinary Muslims continue to be shepherds, herders, farmers, peddlers/vendors, etc. Why are we rushing to have young girls go to school and college and become professionals when they should be getting married young and become housewives. We have to stop the tidal wave of westernization/modernization

                      Why Zulfi? Why?
Yet you are living in Canada and judging by the picture of yourself you posted here you look like you have more comfort than needed as per your interpretation of Islam.

That's the point. At present there is no purely Islamic state or society, not even Mecca and Medina.

I guess you are sitting on a couch in a heated room in front of your computer. Therefore you don’t need an Islamic state whose guards shut your computer down and kick you out of your home.

Since I live in Canada obviously there has to be heating. But I don't own a couch, I prefer to sit on the ground
