Asfandyar Wali's sister injured in gun attack

PESHAWAR: Unknown gunmen Monday shot and wounded a sister of the ruling party chief of the northwestern Pakistani province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, police said.
Doctor GulLalai, sister of Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Asfandyar Wali was coming out of her clinic in provincial capital Peshawar, when someone fired at her, senior police official Imran Kishwar told AFP.
“One of the bullets injured the arm of Doctor GulLalai, she was taken to hospital and her condition was out of danger,” Kishwar said.
“She is in trauma ward, but she is safe,” doctor Hameed Afridi of Lady Reading Hospital told AFP. There were no immediate claims of the responsibility for the attack.
Last week a suicide attacker killed the chief of Pakistan's Frontier Constabulary and two other people in a bombing in Peshawar. Taliban militants said they carried out the attack.
Bombs and attacks blamed on Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked militants have hit soldiers, government officials and civilians across nuclear-armed Pakistan since government troops besieged a radical mosque in Islamabad in July 2007.
Much of the violence has been concentrated in the northwest and border areas with Afghanistan. On July 26 a bomber killed seven people as he targeted senior Pakistani officials mourning the murdered son of a northwestern cabinet minister.

This is ridiculously insane...we have not still recoverd from the blatant killing of FC chief Sifwat Ghayoor just four days ago when another innocent human being like Dr.Gulalai became the victim of ISI/Taliban attack. I hardly doubt it is MQM, considering the fact that all ANP people along with their family members are on hit list of ISI/Talibans.Oh well, every Pashtun is on their hit-list.I am not surprised!

Master Khana, za da haathi pa ghwag ki ooda na yum....Talibans/ISI destroyed thousands of schools in our province, I mean those schools were for students, right? Why did Taliban do it? A terrorist is person who spreads terrorism. Talibans slaughtered/killed Pashtana and are still killing them.Hence they qualify as terrorists, not saints.

You mean to say all those ANP workers/party leaders who have been killed in the last 5 years in suicide attacks/target killings were victims of family feuds or what????

While I could have waited until TTP would accept the attack, we are now used to these kind of attacks and everytime we hear that the TTP would accept the responsibility for the attacks. If they have not attacked her, then it was definitely me!

A question arises in my mind: Why these bloodey Talibghwans are targetting only ANP workers and leaders? Is ANP the only ruling authority here? infact they are in coalition with PPP? but PPP is not on the target?
Yesterday an audit officer who had a friend in CID told me that ISI backed Talibghwan are targetting ANP leaders becoz they believe that ANP leadership particularly Asfandyar Wali khan while sitting abroad (London) disclosed the dirty face of ISI to the british authorities and the recent claim of British prime minister against ISI is the consquences of his meeting there.....Oss khuday khabar chey sa' masala da kho zama pa khyal there is some thing wrong between ISI and ANP...some people say the bone of contention is the pukhtunistan issue which ANP is going to raise on suitable occasion.....

I think they are looking for a suitable time to come.......they are demanding provincial autonomy...the president is giving full attention to them...but the bigger hinderance is Pakistan Army...ANP leadership has warned Pakistan's high ups several times that if they have been given a deaf ear ..and the so called Taliban are imposed on them that may lead to another Bangladesh....but i think now a days the biggest problem they are facing is terrorism .....they are trying to mold the opinion of the brain washed public in their favour ...
