  • Iran warns will hit militant 'safe havens' inside Pakistan

The head of the Iranian armed forces warned Islamabad on Monday that Tehran would hit bases inside Pakistan if the government does not confront Sunni militants who carry out cross-border attacks.

Ten Iranian border guards were killed by militants last month. Iran said Jaish al Adl, a Sunni militant group, had shot the guards with long-range guns, fired from inside Pakistan. The border area has long been plagued by unrest from both drug smuggling gangs and separatist militants.

“We cannot accept the continuation of this situation,” Major General Mohammad Baqeri, the head of the Iranian armed forces was quoted as saying by state news agency IRNA.

“We expect the Pakistani officials to control the borders, arrest the terrorists and shut down their bases.”

“If the terrorist attacks continue, we will hit their safe havens and cells, wherever they are,” he said.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif visited Pakistan last week and asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to improve the border security. Pakistan assured Iran it would deploy additional troops along its border.

In 2014 Iran warned it would send troops to Pakistan to retrieve five Iranian border guards kidnapped by Jaish al Adl. Pakistan said at the time that such action would be violation of the international law and warned Iranian forces not to cross the border.

Iran refrained from sending the troops when a local Sunni cleric stepped in and resolved the situation. Four of the guards were released a few months later, but one was killed by the militants.

Iran to assist in curbing terrorism

Jaish al Adl is a Sunni militant group that has carried out several attacks against Iranian security forces with the aim of highlighting what they say is discrimination against minority Sunni Muslims in Iran, where the majority are Shias.

The group claimed responsibility for attacks that killed eight border guards in April 2015 and 14 border guards in October 2013.

Very good news. And the other neighbor is taking full advantage of Pakistan. Kudos.

I guess all this has something to do with the fact that Javad Zarif was yesterday in Afghanistan and had a meeting with Ghani, Abdullah and Rabbani. Zarif claimed that "THOSE WHO SUPPORT TERRORISM WILL SUFFER". Time to feel the heat, Porkies.

Iran wont do anything though. They said the same thing a few years ago but never did anything.

Pakis have been using Balochistan for decades to given sanctuary to its proxy terrorist groups to attack Afghanistan and try to suppress and subvert the Baloch.

There are a small number of Paki created Baloch militias that fight as part of the Afghan Taliban and also others that have been created by Pakiland to fight against the Baloch freedom fighters. They are not too large in number but the influence of Paki sponsored 'Islamic' groups has been able to penetrate some parts of the Baloch population in the past 10 or 15 years, but much more in Pashtun areas where there is a longer history of 'Pakiized' Islam.

It is probably very embarrassing to Islamabad, but not to Rawalpindi, that some of these Paki sponsored Talibanized Baloch attack Iran too instead of focussing on Baloch nationalists and Afghanistan.

But i wont believe that Iranian forces will cross into Paki occupied Balochistan until i see it. They will probably just fire across the border at innocent Baloch.

Pakistan being an international migraine, and a main exporter of terrorism in the region will continue to have unfriendly neighbors.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

That's so weird, I was just thinking about you today.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

The border is a rey zone of any conflicting groups including a lot of various criminals too. Baloch unfortunately aren't the winners in none of the three pieces of Balochistan.

                      Empty threats.That's all.
They will get a fair response from Pakistan if they do however attempt anything of this sort.

One thing I notice is that many pakistanis living outside pakistan now are finally opening their eyes, I was on the facebook page of Pakdefence forum, and I was surprised how many pakistanis living in UK, Canada, USA were going against their country and their policy, while before it was that even Pakis outside were nationalists, hating India and hindus was their past time, now things are different since even muslim countries have realized what kind of a state Pakistan is. Of course Pakistanis in Pakistan are still brain washed
