Even incompetence doesn't explain 10 killing 200 soldiers. They are not telling the truth. Taliban have infiltrated army ranks. 10,000 afghani soldiers die every year who need replacements. Taliban toke advantage of that situation by sending their men as army recruits.

Imagine if you can't trust the men fighting alongside you on ethnic differences.

Am still flabbergasted as to how 10 talibs can kill 200 + soldiers . Must have brought nukes with them . There are reports that ANA commandos came and started firing on their own soldiers because they couldn't differentiate . That's what you get when your training is atrocious .

The Base was in Mazar-i-Sharif which means those soldiers are usually militia men that were loyal to Atta Muhammad or Junbish Nothing to see here. However , na'thubillah for killing them after leaving the Mosque. That's cowardly.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

It's sad and tragic. What I liked about the Afghan Government's attitude is they took the responsibility and their men-in-charge of the situation resigned. This attitude of accepting your failure is not found anywhere on this side of the Durand Line.

I would like to comment on one more thing as well, People over here are claiming that how is it possible that 10 armed men killed so many of our soldiers and it took ANA almost 10 hours to bring them down.

I don't know about the strengths or weaknesses of ANA. BUT how long did it take the Indian Army to capture the Mumbai attackers? Did you notice it took almost 4-6 hours when a bunch of fools attacked Mehran Base in Karachi, Pakistan? The attackers of Karachi Airport also took alot of time to be controlled.

You can control a person who is there to cause the damage and leave. You cannot control an individual who is there to cause the damage and die at the end. Such things need to be tackled via intelligence agencies.

The problem is leadership. People aren't promoted based on merit but based on nepotism. The ones running the show and responsible for the peoples safety are morons who have no idea on how to do their job or they are corrupt who don't care.

One of the many reasons of our failures.
