ISI provided intel to USA about ISIS hideouts. Also reports are coming that Pakistan army can cross over border to take out afghani terrorists. For once well done USA.

Great. Now drop some of them over Rawalpindi.

          Bull****

ANA commandos and US spec ops have been fighting in a him for awhile now, it's a known isis hotspot.

You're a fool to think ISI would give intel to the US.

From what I've read , the main objective was to destroy tunnels ,caves and bunkers used by IS , and not really to cause maximum casualties.
Honestly though , I would say that it was a waste of $ 300m for just this purpose.
No idea about civilian casualties , but since this appears to be a sparsely populated area , there is a high chance of no civilians harmed.

Our fellow member on this forum, Dazahrojaam ,has some link to Nangarhar I think , she did mention Khogyani and Pachir area once , which are nearby districts to where this bomb was dropped.

Edit: Just read up on it , apparently two civilians are reported to have been killed.

Like old school Mafia movies where the boss merks off a few of his own men every now and then. Sometimes because they are off the payroll or various other reasons like keeping the rest of the goons in check.

I reckon it's just a show of strength to scare off rivals. There has been quite a few military demonstrations recently from different countries. This one trying to also send signals to Iran and Russia aswel as Pakistan.

They wanted to test this bomb , and what could be a better place than a remote valley in Afghanistan where IS has its hideouts?
And this will send a message to Syria that this 'Mother Of All Bombs' will be finding its way onto their soil in the future.
