I see your points but I don't think Mush started any liberal change. He brought a lot of business to Karachi which is why he's loved there by a lot of people. But the fundamental change would've been to set Pakistan's priorities straight. Treating the Baloch separatists and anti-Pak Punjabi outfits as one and the same was a mistake. One is a group fighting for the rights of its province, and the other is one that seeks to impose this nasty Islamic ideology on Pakistan.

As far as the other changes are concerned; yes girls wearing what they want is a positive change but that shouldn't come at the expense of national security, it should come alongside.
Musharaf had to take out punjabi terrorists in Lal Masjid. Lal masjid operation started religious extremist insurgency in 2007 but other option was to give them space.

Same with anti-Pak Balochi sardars. Separatists should be treated with utter contempt like religious extremists, both are same as far as state of Pakistan is concerned. Musharraf did lot for Balochistan development which didn't go well with sardars. Only ignorant foreign Paki will say these gold digging sardars fight for rights.

Interesting how Israel's occupation of Palestine is such an emotional topic for Pakistanis but when it comes to Pakistan's occupation of Kalat state and the army's atrocities there... it's awl good in the hood.

What did Musharraf do for Balochistan's development?

Time to seal the border and kick out all cylinders. Enough is enough!

Use logical arguments. For Israel they brought people from all over europe to settle in foreign occupied land. They wanted to get rid of jews from Europe and that was best possible solution while also looking good in the eyes of yahudis.

Kalat acceded to Pakistan and that will not change now because some Sardars personal wishful thinking. First these sardars should give rights to local balochis by fair distribution of land, how the **** these waderas can even talk about rights? It's ****ing ironic.

Do you know whole point of sardars is to keep most of the land under 1 family while rest of people of their tribe are slaves? Musharraf wanted to give average Balochi ownership of land they plough for sardars.

Musharraf build Gwadar and all roads, infrastructure, universities, hospitals etc you see in Balochistan are all thanks to General Musharraf. This didn't go well with Bugti because educated Baloch will one day want to get rid of sardari system.

Why do some Pakistani nationalists keep lying about Pakistan's forced occupation of Balochistan? Do they think in this day and age anyone with access to internet can not expose their lies?

The Khan of Kalat did not acced to join Pakistan, but Pamistan took an independent Balochistan by force. This is from one of Pakistani sources

On March 26, 1948, the Pakistan Army was ordered to move into the Baloch coastal region of Pasni, Jiwani and Turbat. This was the first act of aggression prior to the march on Kalat by a Pakistani military detachment on April 1, 1948. Kalat capitulated on March 27 after the army moved into the coastal region and it was announced in Karachi that the Khan of Kalat has agreed to merge his state with Pakistan. Jinnah accepted this accession under the gun. It should be noted that the Balochistan Assembly had already rejected any suggestion of forfeiting the independence of Balochistan on any pretext. So even the signature of the Khan of Kalat taken under the barrel of the gun, was not viable, because the parliament had rejected the accession and the accession was never mandated by the British Empire either, who had given Balochistan under Kalat independence before India. The sovereign Baloch state after British withdrawal from India lasted only 227 days. During this time Baluchistan had a flag flying in its embassy in Karachi where its ambassador to Pakistan lived. To say that the Baloch have been ill-treated by all governments and military establishments since their land was illegally and forcefully taken over would be an understatement
How Balochistan became a part of Pakistan – a historical perspective

Read this rest of the article to inform yourself.

What is hypocritical about Pakistani stance regarding Kashmir is that they say the Maharaja of Kashmir did not have the right to join India because he did not ask the opinion of Kashmiri people but you would conviniently accept imaginary unilateral decision by khan of kalat to join Pamistan without the permission of the Baloch people.

The Baloch do want education, development etc but on their own terms. They don't want their kids to read about Nazriya e Pakistan in their universities but get proper education. The Baloch just don't want to become minority in their own province outmumbered by illegal Pakistanis who have no right to be there.

Nobody believes the Pakistani propaganda except Pakistanis themselves and some gullible Baloch who don't know the real history. The big powers are also hypocrites by suppprting the Pakistani occupation of Balochistan but it is in their interest for things to stay this way.

I have to disagree. Peshawar saw far more development under Mush than anyone I recall prior to him.

Media was garbage - it was indiot cr*p 24/7. There were no Pakistani channels. Cable operators took the short cut and provided Indiot media for everyone. It was hell. "MTV" was MTV India, and was non-stop Bollywood. India - we had a fight in 1999 during Kargil. But following that, the relations had it's ups and downs. While the cable banning stuff did happen, in the mid-2000s the relations with Indiot-land was actually fairly good. Better than I ever recall them being. I hate them though. I still remember those pieces of garbage asking US presidents, when they visit, stuff like "why can't we (India) teach them (Pakistan) a lesson?". Morr kus de ughaym.. f*cking indiot garbage. I f*cking hate them so f*cking much. Afkoonis jumping on indiot d*ck is f*cking annoying too.

Anyways... Not sure why you think Musharraf was the worst. He may not have been the best, sure... but hardly an example of the lousiest leader we've had. Along with the bad, he did do good stuff.

Guys, guys, please, calm down. We all do agree that Pakistanis are a bunch of subhuman cockroaches that deserve to die but we shouldn't lose our cool over it.

By cheering their death and misery we would lose our humanity. After all that would mean that we consider them as human beings, as our equals. Thats obviously not true so chill out lol

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Basically what I've got from all this is that you hate Indian culture, Musharraf hated his forefathers (Indians from Uttar Pradesh) therefore you like him.

Lol if you hate Indian culture so much then why are you pro-Pakistan? You shouldn't even identify as Pakistani as most of our culture is Indian (Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi)... sure there's a bit of Pashto in there, but we don't care about you guys.

All wrong. Kalat was independent before Pakistan and India. I urge you to read the actual history of the Kalat state and not some nonsense spewed by Pakistani nationalists. Even if we assume the accession was voluntary, the leading Balochistan states Union which Kalat joined to form, was promised complete autonomy under the dominion of Pakistan.

Since that treaty has been broken time and again and it's obvious that there's no democratic government, but rather military rule (forever and always) the Baloch separatists are exercising their democratic right to fight their oppressors. As far as building roads is concerned I'm pretty sure the Baloch aren't incapable of making roads. It's such a condescending measure of worth that you tell Afghans that the Taliban 'at least brought a system' or the Baloch that 'at least Musharraf made you a road'. As if they're too dumb to do these things themselves.

The Khan of Kalat did not acced to join Pakistan, but Pamistan took an independent Balochistan by force. This is from one of Pakistani sources

Wonderfully put Shahpur, I couldn't have said it better myself although I did try.
