      I am obviously not a Pakistan-hater.
On this forum, discussions turn to Pakistan hatred pretty quickly.
As for the news article I have given the link to which says that FATA residents in Rawalpindi are to be under surveillance, well let me re-iterate that I speak against any such ridiculous and unfair behaviour , be that on part of Pakistani authorities.
Also, if Afghans get targeted and treated brutally in Pakistan, I am against that and will speak out against it.That does not make me any less a patriotic Pakistani.
I agree with each word you said...While on state level i think paksitan should treat afghanistan same as Iran does..and look they never utter a single word towards them..Pakistan is too soft with them..Iran never allow to used them there port...Pakistan allowed them from day 1 and they said its interntational ..So can't they apply this international to Iran.Paksitan should give nationality to all pakhtuns of afghanistan and then closed the border permanently like other countries have done to them...No interference in afghanistan..Let them do whatever they do...

Your country is on the verge of collapse. Its just a matter of time. Baluchistan will be free. And the rest of the country will descend into chaos.
Pakistan is going to collapse ? Did tolo news tell you that ?

Pakistan'''s Economy Is a Pleasant Surprise - Bloomberg View

Each year I perform the exercise of picking what I think is the most underrated (and overrated) economy in the world. Past winners have included Germany, Mexico and, more recently, the Philippines. The designation is tricky, because it can go to an ailing country with an excessively bad reputation or maybe to a known star with virtues beyond what people understand. This year I see a clear winner: Pakistan.

It’s obvious the country does not have a great external reputation. In a recent poll of favorability, Americans ranked Pakistan at No. 136 among 144 nations. As an experiment, I typed “Pakistan” into Google’s news search and the leading entries referred either to terrorism issues or to the possible extension of President Donald Trump’s travel ban.

Yet most of Pakistan’s developments are fairly positive. For instance, the stock market has put in a good performance, rising 46 percent over the last year. Emerging-economy equities are not in every way representative of how the broader economy is doing, but again we are talking “underrated” here.

        What Underrated Looks Like
Performance of the Karachi Stock Exchange KSE100 Index

        Source: Bloomberg
Gross-domestic-product growth has hovered in the range of 4 percent and now may be reaching 5 percent. That’s not going to rival recent Chinese performance, but it is enough to put the economy on a fairly positive path. Since 2002, the rate of poverty has fallen by half, and over the past three years the rate of terrorist deaths has declined by two-thirds. It’s now the case that 47 percent of Pakistani households own a washing machine, up from 13 percent in 1991, and retail is booming more generally.

On the macro side, inflation is not a problem, the country has staved off a foreign-exchange crisis, and it is rebuilding its reserves. The debt-to-GDP ratio is high at more than 60 percent, but the country has graduated from its adjustment program with the International Monetary Fund and appears to be in a stable fiscal state.

Or consider the comparison with India. India has established a reputation as one of the world’s most dynamic and rapidly growing economies. Yet until 2008, Pakistan and India had roughly comparable per capita incomes. The two countries have a common history and a lot of common culture. Is it crazy to think that Pakistan might pull even once again?

Pakistan’s improvement matters because, with approximately 200 million people, it is the sixth most populous country in the world. It is also a nuclear power, and arguably a key to peace in the region. I don’t know many people who were predicting Pakistan’s progress in 2001, and so is one of the world’s most pleasant surprises.

After the BRICs, it's time to focus on the VARPs

Emerging market equities were mostly wrong-footed by the US presidential election result. If President-elect Donald Trump follows through on his pledge to scrap certain trade and regulatory agreements, free trade and emerging markets could suffer.

In this highly uncertain environment, it's key to focus on the emerging economies' domestic drivers which will shape this so-called new world order.
Since the BRICs acronym was coined over a decade ago, it has gripped investors and news headlines alike. But with the traditionally perceived growth engines of Russia and Brazil in the midst of various phases of recession, as well as fundamental policy overhaul taking place in China, investors need to find pockets of opportunity in other frontier markets: Time to introduce VARP.

VARP – Vietnam, Argentina, Romania and Pakistan – represents a collection of geographies, languages, histories and business cultures with one thing in common: they each offer major growth opportunities. The VARP economies are characterized by strong economic growth, all within the 3 percent-6 percent range, with a young demographic of workers keen to spend money.
        Pakistan

Pakistani stock brokers watch the latest share prices during a trading session at the Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi on September 29.
Pakistani stocks have soared this year following an announcement from the MSCI that its equities will be included in the emerging markets index.

Improving credit ratings on the back of healthy economic growth, more manageable inflation and the government's efforts towards fiscal consolidation have heightened investor interest in Pakistan. The country is also benefiting from numerous infrastructure projects under development as part of the $46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

I can educate you more as to how Pakistan is the next big thing . Keep on having orgasms with every blast in Pakistan (Which has also declined by 80 %)

If we give nationality to Afghan Pashtuns, then what is the point of closing the border? Then why not have an open border?

Truth be told, I would be in favour of combining both countries,or at least have a sort of confederation.Up until very recently, Afghans have been able to freely come into Pakistan for residential, business, medical purposes and I am in favour of that. The only problem is when the porous border leads to terrorism in our country.

Afghan mentality is not compatible with ours . Their way of thinking is similar to people in medieval ages . Furthermore Developing Afghanistan would be a nightmare because its the most corrupt country in the world .

If we keep border closed, what is the point of giving them Pak nationality? They won't be able to cross over into Pak anyway.

We shouldn't be giving them nationalities . I prefer if we gave the 1 million Bengalis in Karachi nationality instead of Afghans .

So to deal with Afghansitan as it ought to be...Main point is closure of border as afghans see Paksitan as enemy so better no relation with each other..Or they will always give access to enemy of Pakistan to export terrorism here..Its upto government whether they give nationality or not..We will be in much peace should this border remain closed permanently ...E they always try to promote issues from day paksitan got independence. Its better we cut-off ourselves from them completely..And let them deal with anyone in there country..Either they want to fight among themselve..Paksitan should not care and just forget about them...
Sorry but confederation is not a point ..Either pakistan should annex them or cut off completely....Most of afgahns(including tajik ,uzbek) they are racist they don't tolerate any one else..If we make confederation they will create havoc in our cities..and destroy the peace of whole Pakistan..
Look at there infighting from last so many decades they are incapable to make peace among themselves and blame other as always....They prefer tribal affinity or racial affinity more than love for country...We dont want this in Paksitan..

Pakistan made some changes that avoided disasters like we are seeing in Afghanistan . We shifted the capital to Islamabad ( a capital in a federal area ) , made urdu the national language ( everybody is okay with it ) and above all we are taught to love and cherish being a Pakistani first . That's not the case with Afghanistan where everybody is bloodthirsty and wants to kill each other .
