According to my grand parents and parents, Afghanistan was really stable during King Zahir Shah's reign from 1933-1973. Afghanistan was not super rich but there were no wars, millitancy, interference from neighbours etc. They said they had Palestinian and Isreali classmates in Kabul university during that era.

      New Logical Question
The majority of this hate seems to center around Loy Afghanistan/Pashtunistan
the durrand line and that kind of stuff.
So yes, Pashtun Nationalists have big reasons to hate Pakistan.....

      However,

Do Non-Pashtunist Afghans have a logical reason to hate Pakistan?
Because non-Pashtuns were againts the idea of loy Pashtunistan in the first place so Pakistan sort of did the non-Pashtuns of AFG a favor...
considering that many Afghans i meet are becoming Persianized,

i mean, the Non-Pashtuns of Afg wanted to seperate, right?

Non Pashtuns don't want to separate from Pashtuns. We don't want to split our country up. Average Non Pashtun is proud to be Afghan. Growing sentiments for secession are quite modern and its due to fear of Talibanization not because we hate Pashtuns (many non Pashtuns hate Pashtuns though but they have some legit reasons).

Main reason behind our hatred toward Pakistan are four:

        1) Racism. "We" dislike brown people.
        2) Patriotism. "We" dislike countries such as Pakistan interfering into our internal issues. This second point is related to the first one: since Pakistanis are "dark inferior people" we can't tolerate them to have such an inappropriate policy toward our homeland.
        3) History and pride. Pakistan has always been our backyard. We won't accept becoming their backyard.
        4) Resentment. We Non Pashtuns have suffered as much as Pashtuns due to Pakistan and its proxy forces.

Regarding point #3: much of Ahmad Shah Durrani's empire included pakistan and some parts of India. The parts in pakistan even had important cities etc.

I still think the cost of his tactical mistake (not wiping out the sikhs) is still being felt.

I am not saying that Taliban regime was stable.. It was stated in a context that even before taliban there was a civil war in afghanistan and pakistan was not the reason for that

You are right..But the reply to that Baloch guy was in different context. As he blame every wrong thing in Afghanistan is due to Pakistan which is not true..

Since the Aryan times, every single invasion of India came through modern Afghanistan: Aryans, Persians, Greeks, Bactrians, Kushans, Arabs, several Persianized and Persian empires, Pashtuns,.. and so on. In very few occasions Indians invaded our land.

So now that Pakistan wants to dictate on us her own terms, we won't tolerate it. We have that pride, that "your people" were "our slaves" (I don't believe that at all but I just want you to understand Afghan mentality).

I don't know what have Sikhs to do with all this, man.

Pakistan also gave sanctury to the mudjahids, pakistan did not only help taliban, they helped and gave information to almost every Islamic group who was against the central state.

Yes pakistan invite USSR to attack Afghanistan communist government. You are very right.
Shall we start who interfere in neighbors first ? start from 1947 it was afghan government meddling in pakistan affairs and supporting arm insurgencies and doing blasts in quetta and KP.
Everybody is responsible for a mess in Afghanistan except afghans..

You are correct about west to east invasions. I'm just saying, pakistan is not really india. Although parts of it are similar. In fact, parts of Pakistan were very important in the past empires. Peshawar was winter capital for ASD. Mughals had a hard on for Lahore.

The ASD sikh stuff is relevant because sikhs had gotten up to peshawar, which was later annexed to the British.

Well that depends. You Pashtuns and Baluchs are not Indians that for sure. You are Iranic people. But Punjab and Sindh are Indian. No doubt about this.

I seriously consider Sikh take over irrelevant, bro.

It's because of the desire to control Afghanistan's foreign policy.

Honestly, we didn't have to conquer Afghanistan to make their lives miserable. We did it simply by pinning Afghans against each other... in the process we made their lives more miserable than anyone else has in the last few hundred years.

I honestly feel that Afghanistan would've done well under Soviet rule, as economic growth in the country was at its highest back then. Culturally speaking, Kabul wasn't that far off from being Atheist/Communist, people were really liberal back then.

At the end of the day, Saudi, U.S. and Pakistan brought misery to the Afghan people, so it's no surprise they hate all of us combined. The difference is Pakistan still wants a say in how the government in Kabul should behave. We want to own the Afghans as our second-tier slaves, because we think all Afghans are dumb, low-IQ and a bunch of opium addicted peasants who don't know how to take care of themselves. Punjabis think they can civilise the Afghans, being a much more urbanised and educated race. Unfortunately, that won't work.

Afghanistan did try to instigate separatist movements but they were all in vain. Their best attempt to conquer Pakhtunkhwa and FATA saw them getting routed by tribals of Waziristan. In essence, the most Afghan of all the Afghans, defeated the Afghans to stay with Pakistan. Tells you a lot about greater Afghanistan.
