why should FATA be merged with KP or mainstreamed ? people believe merging will bring the much needed reforms and FCR will be abolished. i say the word reform does not always reflect reforms, in case of Pakistan it sure never will. what reform is pakistan capable of other than introducing corrupt police system, corrupt failed judiciary system, higher than K2 taxes and corrupt civil bureaucracy who work on commision and rishwat. if pakistan is capable of more reform than this, then please point me in.
if you think that education and health facilities will be extended to FATA , then mainstreaming is not a pretext for these facilities. pakistan can always extend these facilities if she wish. there is no education and health facilities in most of Baluchistan district, the KP district torghar is the most backward district in whole pakistan, same is lakki marwat and hangu district.

FCR should be abolished and FATA should be given more autonomy as legally FATA is not part of pakistan. FCR give a legal cover to the crimes committed by pakistan army and government, but if there was no FCR that does not translate to no crimes by army. these are pakistan inherent problems no one can dare to ask or question army. there is no FCR in Baluchistan, but home abolishing, kidnapping and shooting baloch is normal routine. extra judical killing have occurred in KP especially in SWAT and buner too. FCR is not a point of concern.
pakistan political party JUI, PKMAP is against the merging, while ANP endorse it.

Don’t worry, FATA is Porkis cash crops, punjos will never allow FATA to merge into KPK. Punjos wants to retain FATA as it is as a strategic outpost and as an excuse to carry on with interference in the neighboring country. There are also other Punjabi interests that would be affected e.g. presently large quantities of marble and timber is being exported to Punjab for processing Punjab's industries. Any large-scale marble industry in Momand and Molagori would affect the interest of the Punjabi industrial class.
FC is nothing but a bunch of lowly educated raw tribal youth mastered by Punjabi military officers, above every FC contingent sits a Punjabi overlord, a colonel or captain who wants to use them so FC behaves the way Punjabis want it to. Check the news from Pakistan own media that I posted. Ninety five percent of the aid money to FATA is embezzled by the political and military administration of FATA i.e. Pujabi officers and political agents etc.

The best short term solution to the misery of FATA is merger with KPK.

The People of fata favour merger with kpk but the leader due to own goal are against it.

Nah, they should merge. The only people I've heard against their merger are Pakistani nationalists (mainly Punjabis & Muhajirs). The less divisions among Pashtuns the better. The fact that Pakistani nationalists are so against uniting the Pashtun regions should be enough to tell you that its necessary.

Kidnapping is not limited to FATA. I know people who have no connections with FATA and have been kidnapped. I don't think a merger would reduce that. It's the inaccessibility of FATA which causes kidnapped persons to be taken there.

They are also involved in theft and lifting of cattles. They are not outsiders but indegenous . I know this because my district is district is adjacent to Waziristan and Jani Khel, Baka khel tribes of Wazirs. Some marwat clans living in their proximity on the border have also developed these criminal habits. While living in Peshwar , I have come to know that Afridis are also notorious for this.

Decision has been taken.. Achakzai and Molana who had concerns not quite .PM will soon announce to merge to FATA with KP .People will get rid of Black rule i.e FCR.

Sindh and Punjab are not ethnically divided. Why should Pashtun lands be? We have a shared history, culture, and identity and this would make governing easier. I guess you are paranoid that Pashtun nationalism would increase. India is divided along ethnolinguistic lines for the most part but there aren't any separatist groups (except in the Northeast which is not Indic).

Merging different ethnic regions together used to be a policy of the Soviet Union because they wanted to weaken the identity of the native ethnic groups' lands. That's how Tajik-majority Samarkand and Bukhara became a part of Uzbekistan. I guess you are saying Northern BL shouldn't join us because you want to weaken the identity of Pashtuns.
