Was this guy a member of Junbish-e Milli or what? I don't understand Farsi that well, so I couldn't grasp his story.

Dostum is known for doing things like this but I don't trust this guy either. Politicians are shameless and will do any trick to get some brownie points or bring those in their opposition down.
When they are well known for the crimes they have committed in the past, why are they allowed back in to the system?? Why are they welcomed in to the government??

Now they want sanctions against hizb e islami removed too. This is why the situation in Afghanistan is not getting better. They recycle the same old donkeys/ thieves with their outdated beliefs and then complain about things not getting any better. Get rid of any politician that has been a part of a failed government in the past.

        Afghans have no self respect.

God people have totaly lost their shame and honor. Its disgusting if this is true or not, like its disgusting that they sexualy abused an old man, and its again shamefull and disgusting if its not true, what means an old man made this up, like what kind of low life you can be to publicaly humiliate yourself... :S

I guess this "incident" has something to do with the agreement between Atta and Ghani. Ghani will get rid of Dostum, Atta or somebody close to him, will be appointed as vice-president. Northern Afghanistan will be cleared from political rivals (Jamiati rivals I mean) while Atta will step down.

Its a win-win for both sides.

Very interesting; any more links that elaborates on this?

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

It's a good thing to see the gap between major ethnic politicians getting closer, someone like Atta is needed more than illiterate beings like Dostum. Having said that, our leader has zero shame. He even surpassed Karzai in every field that's negative.
