As pointed out by Friend of Baloch, major Baloch nationalist parties have no issues with separation of Pashtun districts and merger with KP......Pakistani military establishment (which protects the interest of Punjab) always try and hope to use Pashtun population of Balochistan as counterweight to Baloch population so separation of Pashtun areas will benefit Balochs. As pointed out, Balochs wont give up on Quetta city and some other areas where Balochized and Sindhi-ized Pashtuns live (e.g Sibi). PkMAP's have differences with Baloch nationalists over this. ANP , the champions of Takht-i-Peshawar, on the other hand are not that serious about Balochistan

The Pakistani establishment and government will always be opposed to division of Balochistan province.

I dont know how serious QWP and ANP is about it. Talk is one thing. Action is another. They are not acting on it.
        Good question.
Honestly speaking, I don't think the merger of North Balochistan with KP will happen ,at least not in the near future. What I meant in my last post( the one you quoted ) was that the problem is not with the Baloch, the problem is with the Pakistani central government and military who will oppose this move.

True, I don't foresee it in near future.
However, if it does happen , then I think that Qila Abdullah(Chaman), Qila Saifullah, Pishin,Zhob,Sherani,Ziarat and Musakhel districts will obviously not be contested, and they will form part of KP without any problem because they have Pashtun majority.
Sibi can remain with Balochistan if they are "Baluchized" , as you said. The Sibi Pashtuns might not even have the 'Pashtun" feeling in them that they want to be part of greater Pakhtunkhwa.
I don;t think the Pashtuns of Quetta are "Baluchized" or "Sindhi-ized" , however since it is the capital of the province and plus other ethnic groups live there also, so I can imagine that it is going to be a point of debate.

I did not say that,.......Pashtuns of Quetta are not Balochized or any thing like that

They are different from kind that you see in Hazara, Attock and Mianwali.......they still identify themselves as Pashtuns even though many of them no longer speak Pashto, and politically they are into Pashtun nationalism.....All these balochized and Sindhi-ized tribes like Jafars, Lunis, Pannis, Zarkuns etc on the Baloch-pashtun boundry behave like this because historically they have always been threatened by their Baloch neighbors who have expanded at their expanse........but without the tribal conflicts with Balochs, they would move away from their Pashtun roots and identity. Some of such clans who are at peace with Balochs, are now identifying themselves as Balochs and have leaning towards baloch nationalism. Silachi tribe of Sibi, for example, is Pashtun by roots but consider themselves part of Baloch nation. While Barozai clan of Sibi, have been rulers of these parts and once great rivals of Khans of Kalat, are sticking with Pashtun identity due to the nobility they associate with their lineage.

Yea well you are right. If division does occur at some point , then there are some dsitricts which will be undisputed and others will have some dispute but I think a compromise on both sides(baloch and pashtun) will have to be made.

Disputes will naturally arise along the Pashtun-Baloch boundry, not in the deeper Pashtun and Baloch regions........Luni Pashtuns and Marri Balochs fought for three decades over malkiat of Chamalang Coal Mines in Loralai. The coal mines were in Luni area so they obtained the license for mining but Marris came up with a ridiculous claim that their ancestors have grazed in this area and started armed conflict with Pashtuns. I think tribal people like Balochs and Pashtuns will not settle the disputes peacefully, both are carrying topak

Quetta, historically known as Shal, was always a Pashtun/Afghan district inhabited by Kasi and Kakar tribes....Ahmad Shah Abdali awarded two Pashtun districts to Mir Naseer Khan for his services, Shal/Quetta and Dhadar (Bolan)......Mir Naseer Khan , after death of Ahmad Shah Abdali, expelled Panni Pashtuns from Dhadar and colonized southern portion of Quetta with Brahui tribes....in addition to that, he helped Marri Balochs in destroying Hasni Tareens and attacking Lunis, Jafars etc , and also attempted to destroy Kakars which ended up in disaster for his own army. Marris also defeated small Afghan clan of Zarkuns with the help of Bugtis and occupied three fourth of Kohlu. When British destroyed the power of Khajjak Pashtuns of Sibi, Marri Balochs took advantage of it and occupied southern areas of Sibi........Later due to British presence, Kalat and Balochs were unable to expand further into Pashtun territories. So the disputes on Pashtun-Baloch boundary have historical background

Baloch-Brahui claim over Quetta is because of the above mentioned history......

Due to name of the province Balochistan, people refer to them as 'Baloch' which irritates and infuriates them.

I have read in a book that Wali Khan was celebrating dissolution of one unit, Abdus Samad Khan Achakzai angrily remarked to him that whats to celebrate? its not good news for us as we would be now ruled by Balochs.
Merging KP with FATA is of prime importance, FATA needs to be politically and economically mainstreamed with rest of the country and the most efficient way is merger is KP, KP assembly has already passed a resolution for this. FATA reforms would be implemented in the near future.
