I am not saying the puppet government is the legitimate source of Law and order and their extra judicial killings which BarakzaiAbadali mentioned in another thread should be scrutinized with same rigor otherwise we will be stuck in a vicious cycle of killings and revenge killings.
you should not, but you need to know their version of events regarding the hanging, then decide for yourself, otherwise you are feeding yourself government propaganda.
suppose their rulings are not in accordance with sharia or the will of people, now what? should they let go a guilty person? had he been hanged by some local talib commander on his own, you should ask this question, otherwise talib are the biggest stakeholder and they have their own version of ruling whether sharia complaint or not.

had it been revenge killing, he would not have been hanged and publicized, rather shot dead and thrown by some local talib commander, why would the local talib risk his own death by publicizing it? sure the main shura would take notice of the incident and would investigate.

How did Taliban came to the conclusion that he was guilty?
this is absurd question, how did law take it's course in other countries?
taliban facebook page has posted about the incident with detail. he was spying for government and had hand in killing one of the commander in wardak province known by name Doctor Mirawas

However, later the retired officer along with his associates attacked Nazakat and his two uncles and seriously injured them.

Fair enough, everyone has the right to speak and present their case.
How can someone be guilty if the ruling is not in accordance with Sharia?
If their rulings are not according to Sharia then what is their legitimacy? isn't the entire point of their existance to implement Sharia? As Muslims, our allegiance should be to the truth and not some group who claim to represent God. When Muslims become complacent and trust the mullahs too much, the system becomes corrupt. Mullahs and scholars just like government officials should be answerable for their acts to an outside body who can keep them on their toes. As they say, "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely". Have Taliban brought the killers of Najibullah to justice? Let's agree Najibullah was a criminal, still they way he was hanged without a trial is unislamic.

ok, I accept your point about revenge thing, maybe its not revenge, maybe they publicized it so it can serve as a reminder to others, not to mess with the Talib gang.

I would ask you to refrain from posting such links here as they could get people who live in the west in trouble.

I think the main point is some people accept Taliban as the legitimate power holders while others don't. Those who do accept their version of Islam have no problem with their acts and see them as legitimate while those who disagree see them as illegal. The real question is how can these two groups find common ground, through gunpoint or dialogue.

Don't believe in Indian sponsored propaganda. 1 SSG is enough for 30 TTP terrorists as recent operation zarb-e-azb have shown.

lol, welcome back. I refer to kabul government as puppet regime so can hardly call me a fanboy. Just because I don't buy everything the Talib gang or its supporters say doesn't make me a Kabul government fanboy. I want the will of the Afghan people to be implemented without foreign interference, period.
