Moscow not mulling to join CPEC: Russian foreign ministry

The Russian foreign ministry has refuted media reports which said Pakistan and Russia have held ‘secret negotiations’ for cooperation in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Reports last week claimed that the Russian spy chief had made a visit to Pakistan to inspect the Gwadar port.

“The Pakistani media reports about “secret negotiations” between Russia and Pakistan on the implementation of projects as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) are not true to the facts,” the statement of Russian Information and Press Department read.

Russia, Pakistan cooperate in agriculture, energy

“Moscow is not discussing the possibility of joining this project with Islamabad.”

The corridor is about 3,000-kilometre long consisting of highways, railways and pipelines that will connect China’s Xinjiang province to the rest of the world through Gwadar port.

The Russian government, however, said it would strengthen economic ties with Pakistan as cooperation between both countries has inherent values.

“Russian companies are implementing business projects in Pakistan, including the planned construction of the North-South gas pipeline from Karachi to Lahore, on a bilateral basis.”

Yes but on average both Pakistan and India are equal or near to each other in most development and economic Indicators . In India or Pakistan we have villages that look better than Kabul . The food that they eat , the clothes they wear , the cement that they built houses with comes from Pakistan . They came back to senses when our army toasted them during the torkham incident .

Their ghairat vanishes when they come here for Business , Hospitals or Education . And the rest of the 3 million that live here are either child beggars , living in refugee camps or working as servants for people in Islamabad and Lahore . But I noticed most Afghans in real life are tame and go along with the flow rather than the online ones which put up a false ghairati persona .

The correct terms are Developed , Developing and least Developed . First and third world are cold war terms . I would say United nations knows more than us . Currently there are 49 LDC's and Pakistan isn't one of them . Bangladesh will taken out of the list soon as they have fullfilled the requirements to be a developing country .

Afghanistan belongs with countries like Somalia , Chad , Ethopia , Sudan not India or Pakistan.
