Isn't the establishment already very religious in Afghanistan? I mean, it's not a secular country.Originally posted by khushal View PostThe problems that are in Afghanistan and getting bigger can only be solved by the Mullahs. In this environment, people need faith, hope, an iron fist against the corrupt and only the grass roots religious establishment can provide that.

The key words you missed are "grass roots."Originally posted by Porus View PostIsn't the establishment already very religious in Afghanistan? I mean, it's not a secular country.
The establishments president is a US citizen and their first lady was a skirt wearing disco dancing christian hippy from Lebanon who now wears a hijab. All of them are paid stooges of foreign governments ie Pakistan, Iran, Russia, US. When you are paid stooge, how can you have grass roots support.Last edited by khushal; 11-16-2016, 05:03 AM.

And what does a kleptocratic Afghan gov know about all that you mention. 97% of the Afghan economy was US military funding.Originally posted by Elite Pakhtun View PostMullahs will eliminate corruption, but will also eliminate everything else. They don't know anything about economics, engineering, education, Healthcare.... pretty much anything outside of mullah expertise.
They're the types to destroy your Bamiyan buddhas. What are you seeing that I'm not?
Afghanistan’s Economic Challenges - The New York Times
At least the grass root mullah had provided an uncorrupt stability.
But the main obstacle to economic growth for the region is the pak army who was created by the Brits to prevents trade between South and Central Asia. Historically South and Central Asia was the richest region in the world rivaled by China.

(Notice the graphs in the link as India's GDP is shrinking, the UK GDP is growing from nothing. It is not wonder the Brits called India its Crown jewel meaning it was the source of its wealth.)
China is on its way to its historical glory and India will probably eventually get there while because of the Brits creation of the Pak Army, the indus valley along with central Asia will be left behind for a long time.Last edited by khushal; 11-16-2016, 05:36 AM.

That article is 2012... I see the point it's making, I'm just not sure if it's the same right now.Originally posted by khushal View PostAnd what does a kleptocratic Afghan gov know about all that you mention. 97% of the Afghan economy was US military funding.

Nothing you're saying shows how mullahs are better. You're just showing how current gov is bad. What will mullahs do better than current? No corruption fine, but no schools, roads, hospitals, etc. No donor money either.
China and India: neither will be #1 any time soon.

Yeap. Just look at Iran. Its such a paradise lol.Originally posted by khushal View PostThe problems that are in Afghanistan and getting bigger can only be solved by the Mullahs. Mullahs are useless people. Our current government is the less bad option. Through education and patience we will educate our people and make our country great. We don't need cowards like who have never been to Afghanistan to lecture us about the way she should rule our country."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

Mullahs belong in the mosque to lead prayers and that's it.Originally posted by khushal View PostThe problems that are in Afghanistan and getting bigger can only be solved by the Mullahs. I agree that Islamic scholars can play a supporting role in a government by giving an Islamic perspective on issues but you typical mullah is not qualified enough to make decisions at state level.
What our country needs is honest, god fearing people who are selfless and want to serve the country and not fill their pockets. Real mujahideen are few and far between and don't always have a beard or the mullah attire.

Iranian Mullahs are not your average mullahs. I think its a requirement to have a Masters or PHD to be Iranian member of parliment or president if I am not wrong.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostYeap. Just look at Iran. Its such a paradise lol.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has a PHD in engineering and current president Hassan Rouhani has a PHD in Law and has studied in the UK. These mullahs are more qualified than most people.
I don't like the sectarian outlook of the Iranian regime and their shiite centric policies but they are much better than many governments in our region. Iran is not Paradise but compared to the neighbourhood, with maybe exception of Turkey and Azerbaijan, it is indeed a pretty good place to live.

Ahmadinejad is not an akhoond. Have you ever been to Iran, brother? Its much worse than Afghanistan. There is no values, no respect, no honor. Most of Iranians have become obnoxious snob annoying thieves. They don't care about family, nor about their country, nor about their faith. They are suffering from identity crisis (many Iranians would sell their mothers in order get approval from their White People gods).Originally posted by Shapur View PostIranian Mullahs are not your average mullahs. I do agree with you that Shia Mullahs are much better educated than Sunni Mullahs. But I am pretty sure that a Mullah Dictatorship will bring nothing but more disgrace to our country and it will be an utter failure."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,
