In 1925 King Amanullah replaced Rupee currency with Afghani....stupidty
When people ask how much something is. They answer with a numerical value followed by the word "rapay." Hardly anyone uses the word "Afghani." Youlive in a fantasy world. It does not even make sense.
LOL say the person who has never been to Afghanistan, Afghani is not used as much in border provinves due to trade with pakistan. They also use a lot of kaldore, but Afghani is an accepted name, just becuase it is not used in paktia that often has more to do with economics than with its name. And like I said rupay is for most pashtuns literaly translated as money.

It has to do with the stupidity of the reform. Kaldora is used for pakistani rupay and when someone says just rapay, then it means afghani rupay.
Does anyone know where the word "kaldora" comes from? We refer that term to the pakistani rupee.
