16 CPEC projects in #Balochistan, 8 in #KPK: Chinese Embassy
BREAKING: In an unusual series of tweets today, Deputy Chief of Mission Zhao Lijian at Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, explained four provinces’ share of projects in $51.5 billion CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor).
Zhao’s tweets came in response to criticism in the local press and on social media about the Western route of CPEC and alleged absence of CPEC benefits to KPK and Balochistan.
There have been planned protests by Awami National Party (ANP) against ‘change of Western route of CPEC and deprivation of Pakhtoon and Baloch interests.’
According to Zhao, here is the breakup of CPEC projects:
    Balochistan 16
    KPK 8
    Sindh 13
    Punjab 12
Summing up, Zhao asks: Is this China Punjab Economic Corridor?
At least 16 projects under CPEC are related to Balochistan, tweets Zhao.
    These are:
    #Khuzdar-#Basima Highway (N-30)
    D.I.Khan-Quetta Highway (N-50)
    #Hubco Coal Power Plant
    Gwadar Power Plant

Seems all Pakistan´s economy is limited to CPEC. Even Afghanistan despite being a a country ravaged by war has involved in several huge projects that will bring a lot of progress to the country. But CPEC will bring nothing to Pakistan.

BTW there is no "Western route". Punjabis are fooling once again Pashtuns.

The CPEC road looks like it's been drawn by a paindu who doesn't realize there's educated people on planet earth. The way it curves into Punjab, mysteriously, and for no logical reason whatsoever, is just a wonder to behold.

This is important, you should articulate why. How would cons outweigh the pros?

Pros - more money from Chinese truck drivers driving export products while going through the fantasy Western route.

Cons - more traffic congestion (Which is supposed to be fixed by building the road to being with - we have to assume if they went this route, it wouldn't be some sub-par third class 2 lane "highway").
