Adnan Sami: Pakistan should thank Indian army
If there is one celebrity India is really proud of then that's Adnan Sami. The veteran singer-composer, who is originally from Pakistan, had expressed his grief after the unfortunate Uri attack that killed 19 Indian army soldiers. After Indian Army carried out surgical strikes and smashed 8 terrorist camps in PoK, Sami even tweeted congratulating the soldiers and even hailed Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for retaliating against terrorism.
The singer, who was last seen in a cameo appearance in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', slammed Pakistan saying, "My tweets were against a common enemy. An enemy that has been hurting both the nations and the rest of the world, too. If anything, Pakistan should thank India for finishing the terrorists. For years, Pakistan has been saying that they too are victims of terrorism. Here, when your neighbour is helping you out, you don't want to even acknowledge it."
Further clearing his stance, Sami said, "I never said a word against Pakistan. "They interpreted it in their own way and that's why I wrote that they see Pakistan and terrorists as the same." He even reiterated that if at all he is destined to return to Pakistan in future, he wouldn't be scare of doing it. "I am not scared of anyone, except the Almighty. If it is written in my destiny that I will go back to Pakistan, then I will. I won't be scared of going back," he said.
