Interesting. Brahamdagh Bugti also recently stated that he is reaching out to Afghanistan, India and Bangladesh to take up the Baloch struggle with the US. The European Union has already considered a reponse to paki state terrorism in Balochistan.

yeah but most of your science programs are bull**** and don't do qualified, peer reviewed science. A lot of countries have it. There's nothing special about it.
India may not give us sattelites, but they can give us infrastructural know how, they're obsessed in getting more influence in Afghanistan than Pakistan, they're willing to do basically anything to woo Afghans, we can use that to our advantage,
What makes you think it'll be handled? That's a naive thought. People will want to watch something and have some form of entertainment. It's either Bollywood or hollywood. I don't think Spanish or French movies will sell.
Because historically we've handled it. And it's not like Pakistan offers a better alternative, you guys have mujra videos all over youtube.

Why should we consider Pakistan an Islamic country? Your country has butchered more Muslims than Israel. You killed 3,5 million Muslims in Bangladesh. Why should we support a brit-made Islamic country that offers nothing but death, misery, war and disgrace?Originally posted by Elite Pakhtun View Post
It's just a sport event. If it's something larger, it would be more concerning. And what's a "real" Muslim country? It has majority Muslims, therefor it's a Muslim country. Everyone has their definition of what "real muslim". Not real muslim so we'll deal with india instead... the guys shooting kashmiri muslims in the eyes with pellet guns so that the victims can live but be blinded for life.

If killing Muslims by fellow Muslims is some barometer, your precious Iran far supersedes pakistan. Most likely Afghanistan does too (pre-Taliban too bro). Bro, peer reviewed science is used for making a scientific claim. Pakistan's space program i.e. launching satellites does not need peer review. They either launch it or they don't.Originally posted by Iblis_Efreetzai View Postyeah but most of your science programs are bull**** and don't do qualified, peer reviewed science. Infrastructural know-how is great... but you don't seem to appreciate that a space program takes a lot of money. Very few countries waste too much of their time on it, and the US has even reduced NASAs budget over time. The real space program days were back in the cold war. It's very expensive and usually largely symbolic.
Historically you've handled it how? When Taliban were around they were strict so it was "handled" in that way i.e. no music no movies allowed. Pre-Taliban Afghanistan was fairly modern, and women wore western clothing. That doesn't sound like handling it.
About the Muslim card: Pakistanis are probably more or less as religious as Afghans. They are definitely one of the more religious countries out there. Not very many countries are more religious. It's not just the Muslim card, it's also the racial card. Same religion, same race.
Look, I don't want to keep running in circles. We're not going to agree. Some of you guys have made up your mind that you hate Pakistan, so be it. But in a realistic world, you need trade and good relations with your neighbors. Thus far, while the relations are straining, it's still not bad. Let's hope it gets better going forward, as India has made it clear they are willing to step on our toes and shoot civilians in Kashmir only because they outnumber us. I mean 4 people killed 17 indiots... jeez.

Well india's pompousness and their neglect of their own people (while unfortunate) can benefit us. from a purely pragmatic sense, this is ideal for us.
you call yourself "Elite Pakhtun" and you don't know about Khost rebellion and such? Sure that wasn't about Bollywood, but something similar in nature.Historically you've handled it how? As for women wearing Western clothes, all I have to say is Veena Malik .....and if you count Pakistani Americans ......Nadia Ali...
Maybe, I'm not here to brag about Afghans as Muslims; my point was, there's no functional reason to side with Pakistan on "Islamic" grounds when Pakistan lacks this element in the most genuine sense. Perhaps we do as well, but that's my point. At this stage Islam is a word people toss around and ignore its implications. Pakistan just happens to use it as a political instrument when convenient, that's what I'm saying.About the Muslim card: Pakistanis are probably more or less as religious as Afghans.

Nothing I'd l,ike more than Pakistan as a cooperative neighbor, but given the agendas of the political establishment, that seems to be very meekly possible. I'm sure Pakistanis will say the same thing regarding the Afghan agenda currently, but we're not doing this simply because Pakistanis are "dalkhors" or something. There's been a lot of turmoil that went on in Afghanistan that was galvanized by Pakistan, yes it was our fire but Pakistan kept throwing gasoline on it .

This is a waste of time anyways. Peer review is valuable when it comes to research. Space program is not relevant in any relations between any of these countries. For some reason you think it is and will work to your favor, let's see how right you are.Originally posted by Iblis_Efreetzai View Postif you don't understand how they're intrinsically linked, then I'm not sure how far this debate will go.

Pffft... please don't use Khost rebellion as an example. If india exports bollywood and desi culture, people will either buy it voluntarily or not. I've unfortunately seen that it gets popular more than I'd like. You will be saddened by reality of desi movies and music selling. I don't care and I don't consider it a bad thing even. I'm glad they're wearing western clothing. People are free to choose how they want to live. I'm just saying you open yourself up to indian culture, don't be surprised if it gets popular. Well then don't single out pakistan. All these countries are not good at being Islamic. This is more something you're telling yourself than the reality of how science and development work. It's a great example. Besides Pakistan is far worse when it comes to the errs of Indic culture than Afghanistan ....again Veena Malik.Pffft... please don't use Khost rebellion as an example

Dear Foorsi-Dausi, The numbers of Bongla genocide are inflated, and there are varying estimates, with realistic numbers being 500,000.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostDont get me wrong brother. Bangladesh war: The article that changed history - BBC News
The genocide **** means **** all, Iran has 2nd highest executions per year. If genocide meant something, then Germany wouldn't be one of the richest, most advanced, most culturally rich countries in the world. Neither would the UK. Neither would many countries. Some of them do well, some do not.
Iran got somewhere because of oil. Their system is nothing special. With oil any country can seem semi-decent.

The science and development behind creating it is certainly extensive. Once it's created, it's a matter of replication, which isn't as hard.Originally posted by Iblis_Efreetzai View PostThis is more something you're telling yourself than the reality of how science and development work. Again, lets see how much Afghanistan gains from India's space program.
You're the one who's scared of "Indic" culture. I'm not a fan personally, but it's certainly not the clothing stuff. It's a great example. Besides Pakistan is far worse when it comes to the errs of Indic culture than Afghanistan ....again Veena Malik.
It's a bad example because Khost rebellion was due to new laws that would be implemented on them. Importing bollywood crap is not a law. It's simple trade. People are free to buy it or not buy it. I'm predicting they will buy it. You're disagreeing.
What? Your English comprehension needs work.Humongous back peddle and double think seems to be guiding your perceptions.
YOU are the one complaining about Indian influence bringing in things you seem to dislike. I said about desi culture, you kept going on about western clothing. I never said a thing about western clothing. I was talking about the whole Indian culture stuff (not "western clothing" or Veena Malik posing nude). Go read my posts again.
People disagree with interpretations of Islam, so this is just not realistic. May the most Islamic country be your best friend. But until then, you will have differences with all Muslim countries, and even within your country.I'm going to single out Pakistan if Pakistanis are coming here moaning and groaning over why we chose India over Pakistan. If you want to use Islamic card, then be the best possible Muslim nation there can be. Lead by example , others will follow.
India was allies with the Soviets, who invaded Afghanistan to get access to "warm waters".No, not at all, historical evidence shows you're npt a healthy alternative for us. Nol spite required, just logic.
But again, just keep the boycotts to sporting events and it won't impact me too much. I advocate neutrality.Last edited by Elite Pakhtun; 09-26-2016, 11:52 PM.

which is why it's strange why Pakistan is lagging in that area. I recall Pervez Hoodbhoy talking about some of the ridiculous topics being researched in even very recent pakistani research universitiesOriginally posted by Elite Pakhtun View PostThe science and development behind creating it is certainly extensive. Once it's created, it's a matter of replication, which isn't as hard.
Probably more than we could gain from Pakistan in areas of science and development.Again, lets see how much Afghanistan gains from India's space program.
Let us worry about it then, it shouldn't concern you. You're the one who's scared of "Indic" culture. I'm not a fan personally, but it's certainly not the clothing stuff.
It's a bad example because Khost rebellion was due to new laws that would be implemented on them.
It wasn't just about that, read up.
if you understood what really triggered the Khost rebellion or at least galvanized it you'd understand that it hit the fan because pictures circulated of Queen Soraya being paraded in euro-slapper outfits.Importing bollywood crap is not a law. It's simple trade.
You're the one who thinks that we are obligated to Pakistan because they pay lip service to Islam. What? Your English comprehension needs work.
You mentioned Bollywood, there's nothing in there that isn't an emulation of Western norms on some level. So either you're trying to appeal to emotion .....or you really didn't think that throughYOU are the one complaining about Indian influence bringing in things you seem to dislike. I said about desi culture, you kept going on about western clothing
I'm banking on the former, but Veena Malik is doiing what she does from what it appears, to emulate her Bollywood sisters.
you're being disingenuous now, what would be the point of worrying about bollywood if it weren't for things like Veena Malik? i'm certainly not worried if Afghans develop a good work ethic, become qualified professionals and scientists, which also is something we might find in India.. I never said a thing about western clothing. I was talking about the whole Indian culture stuff (not "western clothing" or Veena Malik posing nude). Go read my posts again.
I don't actually need to reread your post, you were trying to appeal to emotion and didn't think through what your statements imply.
Then stop appealing to the Islam card all the time......you basically countered your Religion pandering.People disagree with interpretations of Islam,
Irrelevant, we're talking about why we're picking India over you, you've inadvertently affirmed the reason., and even within your country.
That's true, but Pakistan was allies with various terrorist groups, and American Military who carpet bombed us.India was allies with the Soviets, who invaded Afghanistan to get access to "warm waters".
The difference? India is trying to make up for it. .......how is Pakistan trying to make up for it? More support for Taliban.
You have no right to dictate what we should do, I think supporting India would be beneficial for us, despite some nonsense that somehow Bollywood would have some unstoppable power to contaminate society. It's contaminated Pakistan more than us. Hence the existence of "Lollywood" LOL.But again, just keep the boycotts to sporting events and it won't impact me too much. I advocate neutrality.
That's basically been your only counter so far.
Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

No, highly doubt Indians would have the same amount of hate for Muslims as it does now. The British planted the seeds for hatred between Muslims and Hindus to then further expand their influence and control of the continent. Eventually, Porkistan was formed, and this is one of the main reasons why many Indians hate Islam, not Islam itself.Originally posted by Manzareh View PostIf India was next door to Afghanistan and it was a Muslim(albeit by name) nuclear power.
