He himself admitted to be a bandit in his early career

My Life: From Brigand to King--Autobiography of Amir Habibullah

In 1929 a ruthless, illiterate brigand chief called Bacha Saquo--"son of a water-carrier"--overthrew Amanullah Khan in a bloody coup and declared himself king of Afghanistan. The ensuing nine months, until the heroic Nadir Shah and his brothers deposed the outlaw, is referred to by the Afghans as the Reign of Terror.

This book is Bacha Saquo's own story, as dictated to his companion Jamal Gul, and translated from Jamal's original Persian. From childhood murder and arson, to his last days in prison before the firing squad, Bacha Saquo's narrative is without a trace of remorse. His description of a cunning ascent to "king" of brigands is disarmingly engaging. He tells of a wandering Mullah who fired his royal ambitions with a prophecy of kingship. And in a matter-of-fact style, he recounts the strategies and tactics of terror, torture and extortion that were his methods of rule. From Brigand to King is a shocking look through the eyes and mind of one of the most ruthless dictators of the century. It shows us patterns of human thought and behavior that make this phenomenon an ever-present possibility.

    Few questions:

    Who wrote the book?

    Who preserved the manuscript?

    Who published it?

Every single ruler of Afghanistan since Ahmad Shah Abdali, were a bunch thieves, bloodthirsty animals. The thing is only Kalakani is hated so much basically because he was a non Pashtun. We have had by far worse rulers in our country such as Abdul Rahman Khan, Doast Muhammad, Nadir Khan, etc.. but the average Pashtun doesn't care so much about them. Its only Kalakani and Massoud who drives many Pashtuns crazy lol

Aman e mordagaw used his power as ruler to extract extremely high taxes from people in order to finance his lavish Western lifestyle of a monarch. Nobody is calling him a thug or a bandit.

Even if Habibullah truly was a bandit, his crime probably affected dozens of people. Aman e Mordagaws crime affected an entire country and millions more on other side of the Durand line whom he back stabbed. Due to his policy of treachery entire villages of Wazirisran were arsoned by British Empire as a punishment. Waziristanis labor their women and children, their livestock and their homes and agricultural plots because they agreed to be spearheads of an uprising on Aman e Mordagaws behest.

Nobody is calling him a criminal. Same Pashtun nationalists who reject Durand line and claim that Pashtuns on the other side are their brothers are also the ones who glorify criminal who inflicted worse kind of atrocities on them.

Pashtuns in Pakistan who reject Afghanistan and feel betrayed by our governments are right to do so. We are honoring and glorifying people who betrayed and back stabbed them.

Kalakani was Robin Hood compared to the Momadzai rulers.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

This is from the Customer Comments at the Amazon link; yeah It would make no sense that Habibullah Kalakani would refer to himself as "Bacha Saqaw". We should becareful of Mohmadzais trying to rewrite history. The Tarzis were NOTORIOUS for just inventing the Mohmadzai storyline.

This is totally false and fabricated story and part of a propaganda comping against Habibullah Kalakani. Kalakani was illiterate but he was not a thiev nor a brigand. He was a brave, soldier. Yes, only some Pashtunes tribes, might have a grudge against him but for the rest of the country's people he was the one who rescued the country from a tyrant rule of Mohammadzai tribe kings. Even from the brief introduction of the book in here you can find that this book is a propaganda formatted one; it says:

"In 1929 a ruthless, illiterate brigand chief called Bacha Saquo--"son of a water-carrier"--overthrew Amanullah Khan in a bloody coup and declared himself king of Afghanistan. "

1- The events led to the over though of Amanullahs rule was a public upraising starting from the south of the country that spread to the east- Nangarhar peaked when it reached Northe of Kabul- Shamali. Habibullah Kalakani was from Shamali. He was not a brigand chief but a man who was leader of the upraising of the people.
2- He was not "son of a water carrier". He was son of a farmer- gardener. The term "son of water carrier" is fabricated to be used as derogatory term from the perspective of the royal currupt, tyrant and plunderer aristocrats of Kabul.
3- The rule of Habibullah was only 9 months and even King Amanullah's brother- Mohammad Kabir Khan, was member of his cabinet. The great Persian poet- Khalilulah Khalili was his representative in Balkh. It was not a rule of thieves.
Thus, the only value of this book is to find out how historic relaties are distorted and presented as books and "autobiographies."
Jamal Gul - the so called clerk of the biography is a fabricated name. such a person has no real existence....
To make it short: This book is an identical B.S.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Shah Amanullah only fault was not building a strong army, other then that he was a true nationalist who wanted an independent Afghanistan. He never ***** himself to foreigners like your communist father that were whoring Afghans people to Roskies and you who is whoring yourself to Arabs.

                        They've been answered b-itch

                        Who wrote the book?

                        God

                        Who preserved the manuscript?

New Light on the History of the Quranic Text?

Abu Bakr, Zaid Bin Thabit, Ubay bin Kaab, Abdullah Bin Masoud, and most importantly, Othman ibn Afan

But all of these variations had already been and recorded in the Islamic historiographical tradition. In other words, analysis of the “under text” confirms the accuracy of early Islamic historiography.
The most recent scientific analysis of the earliest available Quranic manuscripts conducted by Behnam Sadeghi of Stanford University demonstrates that much of what we know to be the Quran today can be dated to the year 670 AD, or earlier.
                        Who published it?

Abu Bakr and then Othman to the provinces

                        Now the better questions:

                        Who is Khostai?

A male escort that operates behind a dumpster

                        Who publishes Khostai?

Pervs that want to ensure his calling card goes faaaar and wide across Europe's gay population

                        Who preserves Khostai?

Doctors that write him STD treatment medications and dispense his hepatitis medications
"2 crackheads don't become any better or stronger by sharing the same crack pipe." - Greatest PF quote
