  • Imam Suhaib Webb, destroying Mentally Colonized Detractors of Islam and Shari'ah

    Bismillah Al Rahman Al Rahim

    Salaam 'Alaikum

While this is Officially a "Religious Topic", I'm putting it in Politics because the discourse because it deals with the social and political controversy about Shari'ah.

This is for the mentally colonized bunch against Islam, who want to make it seem like Islam, Shari'ah etc ... is equivalent to what ISIS implement and preach.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

“If Mary J. Blige made the call to prayer, I’d go to the mosque; I’d be in the front row.”

ad hominem - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"[1]), short for argumentum ad hominem, is a logical fallacy in which an argument is rebutted by attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, or persons associated with the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Suhaib Webbs claim to fame was that he use to be a gangster in Atlanta and then he converted to Islam and became a white wannabe black convert who talks like he is a rapper. Turns out he is a regular white boy who was raised by his well off white parents in a fancy neighborhood. Both his parents were university lecturers.

He has been a fraud and a wanna be all his life. Now he is a role model for wanna be Muslims.

Sounds a lot like this Afghan guy who used to go under the name "Rhymalicious" , he was a wannabe rapper from Holland.....wonder whatever happened to that guy,

I use to rap. I still write rhymes. But I never claimed to be a gangster or a drug dealer from an upper middle class background like your fake shaykh did.

Quite a few converts/reverts to Islam have things they're not proud of from their past. Mufti Desai cautions on Imam Webb because Imam Webb is of the opinion the arts and music are acceptable as long as they carry a spiritual purpose. This is not unusual to find among Mailiki Scholars of West Africa. Mufti Desai comes from a South Asian mushrab of Hanafi Fiqh who related rulings in context to prevent influence of local Hindu customs, since most Muslims of the subcontinent were originally from Hindu backgrounds. We should always keep this in understanding. between the 'Ulama

I wish Mujib were still a member, here mashallah he was a good Muslim brother.

Ah so all those Quranic Ayat, tafseer and ahadith is useless. All we have to do is look at modern scholars cultural backgrounds. I see. That's very 'traditional' and 'authentic'.

Straw man - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not advanced by that opponent.
