  • KPK the poorest of them all

    Province or territory
    GSP
(millions of USD) GSP per capita
    Punjab 104,930 1,200 Sindh 45,799 1,500 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 13,323 606 Balochistan 4,996 757
According to this. KPK have even lower GDP per capita than even Balochistan. Basically it is the poorest province in entire Pakistan, despite being the second largest population wise. Even if we don't consider the per capita part and take into consideration of the general GDP. Even than KPK got about 1/4 of Sindh and 1/10 of Punjab! Perhaps it is time for Pashtuns in Pakistan to address the neglection of their province and people...

KPK is 3rd largest in terms of population and not 2nd. Anyway GDP isn't the only indicator because good part of economy is undocumented, especially rural. In terms of rural poverty I'm pretty sure KPK is 2nd only to punjab.

      Rural poverty

      Punjab>KPK>Sindh>Balochistan

Though it depend on region as well, south punjab seem to be poorer then KPK.

Your map that you just showed, shows that KPK and FATA is the poorest of them all. Even compared to Balochistan. Even south Punjab is richer than KPK, and FATA have even been painted off scale. Even the capital city Peshawar have been shown to be in extreme poverty.
Beside Karachi, then only Punjab have green colour, indicating that poverty is non existent. It seems from your own sources that Punjab have literally all the money.

lol There is map with figures and facts yet you still lie on face. I already know FATA is poor. I have visited all over Pakistan and had pretty good idea about poverty before this report even released last week.

It only confirmed what I already knew, rural poverty Punjab>KPK>Sindh>Balochistan.

KPK>South punjab, see the map again properly. Hardly any blue area in south punjab compared to KPK.

Anyway in every country there are regions with more poverty then others, this is hardly surprising. The reason north central punjab have less poverty is because of remittances and industries installed by local people plus good agricultural land thanks to canals build by British. Stop this nonsense of punjab eating other people money, punjab gives not take.

I'm not taking in to account urban poverty because big cities in Pakistan tend to be multi ethnic. Karachi have more pathans then any other area of world and less poverty too, so it benefits them as well as anyone ethnicity in Karachi.

Our countries are poor due to corruption and lack of accountability. The power still lies in the hands of people who were the lap dogs of the British during colonial times and their descendents. There is no real democracy or even sharia. We are neither following the secular western model nor the islamic model.
For Pakistan the only hope to end this cycle of misery is to elect Imran Khan and give him all the power to reform the Pakistani society from top to bottom. We need to find a similar man in Afghanistan or at one who will learn from Imran Khan.

If you go to places like interior sindh and rural balochistan things are even more worse than kpk.KPK recieves more remittances than sindh and balochistan since many pathans have migrated to middle east and gulf. Not much remittances flow into interior sindh and balochistan.
