  • Maulana Maududi (founder of JI) is very hateful against Pashtuns in his tafseer

He is saying that "Pathan"(Pashtun), Hindu Baniya, and Jews are Khoon-Khaar (blood thirsty) and buzdil (coward) sood-khors who do worst things to their victims. In case you people dont know , this 'Maulana' was an Indian Mohajir who founded the "Jumat-i-Islami" , whose supporters exists in upper districts of KPK. The present head of Jumat-i-Islami is a Siraj-ul-haq from Dir, a Pashtun. Madudi has grouped us into the category of Hindu baniya and jews, and yet he has large number of Pashtun followers.

You will probably be accused of being a nationalist for bringing this up and condemned because some believe nationalism is haram and might even declare you Kafir.

It would be interesting to know why Maduddi holds such a negative view of Pashtuns?

Probably because at the time Bacha Khan emerged, he was very pro-congress and Hindu Muslim integration. This guy (Maudoodi) was for India, but a very fiercely religious dude, i.e. Hindu hater.

Another gem from Madudi. According to him calling Syed a 'Pathan' , is an insinuation

              Jumatays are bunch of munafiqeen..........

Here i am questioning the mentality of a Hindustani who is followed by large number of Pashtuns, unfortunately. The caste-ism and stereotyping habit is so much ingrained in Hindustanis, that they even bring it in their tafseer. From what i have observed , the areas in India ruled by Pashtuns in 18th century have positive views about Pashtuns (judging from their literature) while the literature of the areas which were antagonistic to Rohillas (e.g Awadh, Delhi etc), speaks very negatively about Pashtuns (whether an Indo one or of the pakhtunkhwa)

The filthy kaafir slandered sahaba in his books. That should be a bigger concern than what he said about Pashtuns.

Never heard of this Maudid guy before, seem like most of religious sects in Pakistan were imported from India. Deobandi, Barelwi etc
