Hm. I'll concede that there was fierce resistance by the Afghans, especially going by AfghanFootball's post. However, if you look at any map of the Mongol Empire, the extent of the empire was at the Indus river.

There are tons more maps on Google, easily findable.

Their point of view and mentality will help us to understand much better Pashtuns.

BTW are you a Tajik? Tell me a bit more about you, bro.
Lol thanks dude. I'm looking to meet good people here like yourself

I'm from Lahore. I'm into politics, history and languages (pretty much why I joined this forum). I was learning Hebrew and Russian 4 years ago, and now I've pretty much forgotten everything, I do though, speak Farsi on a semi-conversational level, but I didn't think I'd come across a Persian/Tajik here.

In my 6 years here, I think you're the only sane Pakistani Punjabi I've come across.

You clearly understand that Pakistan does not = army/ISI.

How comes you are so mature and progressive in your outlook?

"Mirs" from Shamali or Kohistan are Arabs. Tajik is not broader term and was used for for Sunis who spoke Persian. Tajiks are not genetically homogeneous like Pashtuns,Hazaras or Uzbeks etc.

Pashtuns were easily defeated by Mongols and they penetrated deep into Indian subcontinent. Its just few deluded nationalists who want to portray Pashtuns as some sort of "undefeatable warriors" but truth is Pashtuns always have been weak, divided and lacked completely of strategic mentality. Just cannon fodders.

Yeah I am a Tajik. I have met many people from Lahore. Nice people.

Now don't comment on matters you know nothing about and quit being such a racialist. That contradicts Pashtun values.

The prevalence of the European R1a gene is enough to show that Tajiks are more similar to Mongols and Turks than they are to Iranians. R1a is found at a frequency of 50% among Pashtuns but only 28% in Tajiks. I'm not being racist, it's just hardcore facts. This 50% frequency is identical to that of a normal European.

Sorry mate, but the Khiljis successfully defended against the Mongols. It was the Khorezmian (they were the Persians who you look up to) who fell. Pashtuns have been defeated in war on numerous occasions, but unlike Tajiks, Pashtuns have never given up their culture or let the conquerors to take over their culture and impose theirs. However Pashtuns have always put up a fierce fight, that is undeniable.

Note: I understand why you feel racially inferior to Pashtuns. Don't feel inferior, denying true facts shows how insecure you are in your culture.

You're probably the most calm of all Pakistanis I've ever met. Unlike some other Pakistanis on this forum, you're actually willing to accept the truth.

Khilij were Turks. Ergo you are claiming to be a Mongol. lol

Ok then, let's call Samanids and Khorezmians Turks as well then.

                        Eh, no.

Seems you are a bit confused (nothing new here, anyway lol). Khawarezm, just like Ghaznawids, Seljuks,.. were "Persianized Turks". This means they were ethnically Turks, but their first language was Farsi, their food was Persian, their architecture was Persian, their clothes were Persian, their literature was Persian style,.. and so on. Same like Khilij were ethnically Turks but culturally Pashtuns.

Samanids, just like Saffarids, Ghorids, Tahirids, Kartids,.. and so on were pure Persian dynasties. Not only culturally but also ethnically. Thats why Samanids once said "This (Khorasan) is Persian land and we are Persian kings".

You see, my little caveman friend? Thats the difference between culture and ethnicity. Most of Pashtuns in the north and the west are also like Khwarezm or Ghaznawdis: ethnically non Persians but culturally more Persian than even me. Ergo, by using your twisted logic, they must be Persians too LOL

Tajiks have east asian admixture though less then Hazaras. But some Tajiks have little of it. Seem like Tajiks are not racially homogeneous, it's just language identity.

The heartland of Pashtuns (Zhob, Waziristan, Paktiya etc) never came under Mongol rule. Mongols generally avoided these difficult hilly areas. Such was the reputation of Pashtuns against Mongols, that Sultan Balban of India (reigned: 1266–86) garrisoned all the forts along the border with Mongol empire, with Afghans (Pashtuns). The Khilji Sultans, who were Afghans and largely employed Afghan soldiers, actually broke the jaws of Mongols. Each and every time , Mongol invaders were defeated by Khiljis, so that their entire reputation of being fearsome evaporated in India. Alauddin Khilji was so ruthless against Mongols that he did not even spare those Mongols who had converted to Islam. He didnt just defended his territories, he also launched punitive expeditions against Mongols in modern day Afghanistan.

East Pakistan is Indian land, genetically and culturally. U know that.

There is no diference between Indian culture and Punjabi or Sindhi culture, except religion maybe.
