The Afghan girl is back

In retrospect, I can recall the plight of the Afghan women who were brutally traumatized by the Talibans or those girl students of Swat who could not go to schools any longer since their schools were blown up by the militants. How much protection can be promised to the women in the presence of Talibans? Whilst terming it a "war porn" could help us in validating our anti-USA sentiments further, this does not change the fact that within the terrain of Talibans Zone, there must be hunderds of Bibi Aisha traumatized due to their coward fathers, deferent local elders, murderous in-laws, and silent and numb president whose silence on the problems of women is more culpable than the barbaric act of the savage husband.Originally posted by BLS_1919v2.0 View PostThat isn't the point gulalaii..obviously what happened was cruel and we condemn it. That doesn't change though what they are doing. We can't deny such things.
It would be absurd if one would take the comment of the TIME Mag as a reason for longterm STAY in Afghanistan. My question is: What will happen if USA would leave? Would we able to stop any such acts then? True, that the USA forces did not stop this one during their present STAY in Afghanistan, and it could also be true that they are using it as yet another war porn to extend their stay (which sounds pretty absurd considering the pressure on President Obama for troop withdrawal), but do we really think that the situation of our women would be much better in the absence of USA and in the presence of Taliban Govt? Pull out the forces from Afghanistan, and what is left behind? A weak president who would certainly share power with Talibans, the latter would provide more substance for TIME Mags and CNN."O Pakhtuns!, Your house has fallen into ruin, let us rebuild it".
