Aryans/Iranic peoples inhabited the area from East Iraq to Northwest India:

It is said Dari was the lingua franca as far as in Northwest India, but after British invasion of India, Dari was replaced by Indic languages. Even Punjab province (Pakistan/India, translated meaning ''place of Five Waters/rivers'') is a Dari word like Panjshir in Afghanistan.
Would be awesome if all these nations united in some way someday in the future. Perhaps if not as one state, maybe as a union like the European Union. Dari as the lingua franca, but other languages teached in schools and spoken as well. If you look at the map this area is huge comparable to China, EU and USA, and population as high as 100-200 millions, could in theory prosper and become some sort of global power.
Or if that's impossible, maybe it could begin with Balochistan and Pasthun lands in Pakistan merging and becoming part of Afghanistan. These lands used to be part of Afg. before Anglo-Afgh. wars. I have heard, Punjabis don't treat Balochis and Pashtuns very well/like 2nd class citizens, and the western half of Pakistan is purposely being kept underdeveloped by the Pakistani government compared to the Eastern half (Punjab/Sindh), so perhaps in theory, it shouldn't be impossible to convince them to unite with Afghanistan.
Of course this is just a dream/theory since Afghanistan don't have neither the political/military power, nor stability and Afghanistan as a country isn't developed or wealthy enough to convince Pasthuns and Balochis in Pakistan to break away from Paki and merge with Afgh.
