People in eastern Afghanistan have expressed their concerns over the rise in Malaria in eastern parts of the country.

Habibullah Arwal, head of the health services union in eastern Afghanistan warned that the disease will cause tremendous problems for people if not curbed.

"Cases of Malaria will increase during the next few months, not only in eastern provinces, but also in southern and southeastern provinces and even in the west, Kandahar and Farah provinces and the provinces that are green," he said.

Residents of eastern Afghanistan said the lack of attention to hygiene by people in cities was the mean reason for the increase in malaria.

"Due to a weak economy, people cannot have a hygienic life, to buy anti-mosquito nets, to have fans or to use medicine to prevent malaria," said Awalurahman, a resident of Nangarhar province.

Malaria is a viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes that can even lead to death, if not treated in time.

Nothing good ever comes from Pashtun regions. Only terrorism, drugs, diseases, dirtiness and uneducated people. Need to stop this immediately. Just like Pakistan protects most developed provinces in the eastern side of the country we should do the same thing with the northern and western provinces.

EAstern areas are cold ? i doubt malaria would last in those regions, it would happen in warm tropical or hot areas, like the registan desert.

jalalabad is hot, i know that.

That's some of the bigges bull**** I've heard from a chinky eyed Mongol. I could understand if pneumonia is on the increase (pneumonia is already the largest cause of death in Afghanistan, since it usually happens in cold climates), but malaria? It of course exists, but not as a huge killer like it is in sub Saharan Africa.

Be careful around your Tajiks, your father has AIDS from his bacha bazi (he might also sell you to his bacha baz friends who also have AIDS) and malaria.

With all due respects but all that stuff exists among Pashtuns too. Not sure what sort of hindsight you live under.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

I realize a bunch of juvenile and obnoxious wannabe posers are sassing you thinking they're getting Pashtun street cred by doing so. But it says a lot about one's ethics to gloat over the misfortune and suffering over those who are vulnerable.

                    Seriously chill out.

Doesn't exist as a part of Pashtun culture though, yet Tajiks will happily say that bacha bazi is a part of their culture, just look at some of the documentaries.

I get the feeling you're someone that isn't from an Afghan family, but perhaps someone who believes their ancestors were Pashtuns and thus feel this desire to feel strong kinship with Pashtuns. But one thing I find is for people like that, their knowledge of and their understanding of Pashtun culture is contaminated with Rose Tinted glasses, they idealize Pashtuns and Pashtun culture. So I will simply say this; if you ever experience what Pashtun parts of Afghanistan are actually like, you're in for a shock.

Are you drunk/high or something? There are of course bad people in every group of people, but it is obvious that bacha bazi, pedophilia, homosexuality etc is more widespread in Tajik areas than in Pashtun areas. You're saying as if all Pashtuns participate in bacha bazi and these sorts of activities. You think that bacha bazi is a part of pashtun cuture and I'm trying to sugercoat it? That is probably what you were taught in your upbringing - that it is normal to do bacha bazi.

Do you have any data of statistical analysis to support your claims?

Ok since you claim you're Pashtun, I'll message you in Pashto.

ته د کوم ځای نه راغلې یې؟ وګوره هغه بچه بازی مستند، تاجکان وایی چه بچه بازی د دوی کلتور دی.

It is clear that you haven't watched or researched anything about bacha bazi. Especially in those documentaries, you can tell that 99% of bacha baz are Tajik or Uzbek, they even mention that it is part of their culture. Yet you blabber on about how "halak parast" is a part of Pashtun culture.
