Not sure why you guys hate Bacha Khan, his main goal was to get Pashtuns out of misery, sure he have made some mistakes along the way, but his intent was to make Pashtuns a modernized, well educated people. It is a fact that Ghappar Khan was a Russian stooge. He openly endorsed the communist party of Affhanistan.

His followers received refuge in Kabul and were trained by KHAD and KGB. The Baloch and Pashtun nationalists worked as spies and terrorists who conducted terrorist attacks against Afghan refugees in refugee camps.


Even today, ANP creates armed gangs and militias to fight turf wars with Taliban in Pakhtunkhwa and with Muhajirs in Karachi.

There could be political reason for this, ANP after all is political party first. Pakistani government actively supported Afghan mujahidin so it was natural for ANP who was in opposition at that time if at all to oppose it.

Why would he support a foreign Soviet Army(who killed 2 million Afghans and displaced half of the Afghan population out of the country) against his own people. Even if you disagree with your own people, that kind of atrocity can never be justified. Besides the fact the Soviet invasion gave leverage to the Paki state. He promoted a policy that strengthened the Paki State.

But it is the Ghaffar Khan promotion of a Soviet invasion that gave rise to the Taliban mullah. Dont you know anything about cause and effect. The rise of the mullah didnt appear from nowhere, it happened by forced reforms of a society that neither wanted those reforms nor were ready for them. You guys have the stupid gene of not learning from history. The exact same thing happened with Amanullah in 1929. Speedy forced reforms dont work.

Maybe Bacha Khan was misguided fool who though anti-islam Soviets were best for Afghanistan. If it was up to him then Pakistan would be under India's occupation.
